It's time for the Diemonshark, this card is an absolute beast. I'm constantly getting slapped around by players using overpowered compositions around this card.
Unfortunately for me, my most powerful water summoner is Alric Stormbringer so it doesn't really benefit any of the Diemonshark stats. The best summoner to combo with this card is Kelya Frendul for the added shield and extra speed.
It costs a lot of mana but the stats on this beast are incredible, it can hit and take damage like a champion! On top of that, it gets a speed and attack boost when it is enraged making it even more dangerous and super hard to hit. The cherry on top is the trample ability, most enemies won't be able to survive a single attack from this thing when it is enraged so it is very likely to use the trample ability in almost every battle.
I don't have a summoner high level enough to take advantage of the retaliate ability but for the people competing at the highest level, this card is an absolute menace with 3 abilities that have great synergy with the card stats and with each other.
BEST RULESETS
Explosive Weaponry - It can dodge physical attacks quite easily when enraged denying your opponent a ton of explosive damage and it will distribute ungodly amounts of damage during the match.
Lost Magic & Weak Magic - Both rulesets ensure that it will take full advantage of its high shield.
Stampede - Makes the trample ability unstoppable, under the right circumstances it can plow through an entire time in one go.
Ruleset: Unprotected & Earthquake
Mana Cap: 30
Battle Link
Using the Diemonshark on a match with unprotected might not be the smartest move but it makes the trample ability a lot more likely to trigger so I decided to give it a try. I followed it up with some more damage dealers and a speed boost to help it dodge any incoming damage. The backline is only composed of flying cards to do some chip damage during the fight without dropping to the earthquake damage.
Round 1
Everything goes according to plan, they enrage the shark on the first turn and then missed one of the physical attacks since it is now sitting at 8 speed. My backline was knocked out by the opportunity attack but nothing to worry about.
Round 2
The Shark goes into kill mode and drops both his frontline and second line in quick succession. The rest of the team manages to take knock out the celestial harpy and the thunderbird, leaving the poor light elemental sitting right in front of my enraged shark with a taste for blood. Don't need to tell you what happened next...
The Diemonshark is awesome, it managed to knock out 3 of the 5 enemy cards while being the main tank. No wonder so many people use it...
Remember that this card is still being printed as long as there are Chaos Legion packs for sale, once they are over I expect the price to start climbing in perpetuity.
