Hi, Hive! I have some free time and decided to join the new Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge round and try some strategies with a pretty interesting Earth element card, the seemingly very weak Mycelic Morphoid.
With a low cost of only 1 mana, this card has a great ability to reflect the damage it deals, so you can use it in a lot of ways - put it on the first position to give a head start to other cards, put it on the last position to "frame" the enemy card with the Sneak ability, and I like to use it in Equal Opportunity battles to get the opponent to deal damage by attacking it.
For example, in this fight, I chose the following lineup.
Card | Reason |
---|---|
Summoner Wizard of Eastwood to take shields away from opponent, and since he's represented in Gold Foil, increase DEC bounty per battle :) | |
Strong and tough Flesh Golem in the first position, with the ability to regenerate health | |
Mycelic Morphoid to be the first to take the hit and deal damage to the attacking opponent. | |
Rounding out the combo is Goblin Thief, probably one of my favorite Earth element cards with a great combination of speed and attack, while also having the Sneak ability. |
My opponent obviously staked on Cursed Windeku, and at first I was even a little disappointed because I didn't include archers or mages in my strategy, but my Mycelic Morphoid "bait" trick worked well, and the first attacks gave me a chance to quickly deal with the weak cards and finish off the last one with a couple strong attacks.
I was happy to share my experience and I hope you found it interesting :)
