Hi guys, I’m back again this week to share with you my entry to the social media challenge organized by splinterlands. For my first ever spl social media post, I was mainly focused on what I had learned so far. This week I want to talk about some cards.
In splinterlands, there are a lot of cards we players can choose from for our battles. Selection of the cards however is limited to what you own either through buying from the market or from packs. You can also get cards from renting and cards from being delegated to you by friends and other people.
I have learnt that summoners are what give you access to the individual cards for selection. You cannot choose cards for a bottle without first selecting a summoner. Summoners are tied to elements and so whichever summoner you select, you must bear in mind the cards you select will be limited to just those elements. Except in cases that the cards are neutral. There is an element called neutral which basically means that the cards belonging to this element are in all other elements.
Summoners are somewhat like “mother” cards which grant some special abilities to your cards it allows you to pick calls “buffs” or they also remove some abilities or health from your opponents cards which are called “debuffs“. Summoners such as “Obsidian” grant all your cards an extra magic attack which in this case is a buff. However, summoners such as “Thaddeus Brood” gives your opponent’s cards -1 magic and -1 health which in this case is debuff.
There are other summers which allow you to select a few cards to either buff or debuff. With these summoners you select the summoner and cards and then go to a tactic stage and select the 2 or 1 card you want to give or remove the special ability.
Now, the next thing I believe I have to learn from the game is what each of the special abilities the individual cards mean. Fortunately, I have friends who have been playing for a while and so help to make it easier. I also have to learn what each ruleset means and how to use them to my advantage.
Also, I have to look at the right card selections and how to improve my card deck. One of my friends will be giving me a delegation soon and some more will be coming.
One thing about cards is that they hall have their statistics. Each and everyone including the summoners have their names first, their abilities, the mana they consume, their level,
At the top left, you usually find the mana of the summoners. Just below the middle you find the name of the summoner and at the bottom right, you find the card level.
This is something I have learnt about summoners and other cards.
