Splinterlands Social Media Challenge; Reward Cards

Last year cards were added to the reward shop were players could use $Glint to purchase reward cards. This at first only applied to chaos cards but at some point last year around August if I’m not mistaken, rebellion cards were also added and chaos legion cards printing was stopped.

While the chaos legion reward cards were still printed, players had the chance of choosing from 12 rare cards, 12 common cards, 12 legendary cards and also 7 epic cards. The rebellion cards in the reward shop also are available in 12 rare cards, 12 common cards, 12 legendary cards and 7 epic cards. But some new abilities came with the rebellion reward cards.

I will mention about 4 and maybe give a summary on 2 or 3. These abilities include execute, corrupter healing, mimic , and wingbreak. To summarize, healing helps you but corrupted healing does not help. It restores some of the health to units but instead of increasing the health, it rather reduces it. Hence, the name corrupted.

Corrupted healing

Mimic as the name implies means to copy. So here, you are copying something your opponent is doing. To be more precise, this ability takes effect from the second round in a battle and you can gain an ability from your opponent’s team. You cannot choose which ability to mimic as this is random and there is a 25% for you to mimic any ability from your opponent. However, this does not work all the time as some cards have other special abilities than can prevent you from mimicking. In a more precise way, mimic has its limitations.

Mimic

Wingbreak is a more target specific ability. The cards will always attack the cards on your opponent’s team that have the flying ability first which comes with an increased attack of 2.

Wingbreak

The rebellion reward cards in the reward shop have more abilities than the 3 I have described and more things to talk about. But if you have been following my splinterlands updates, you know I am new to this which means I am still exploring. I do not have information on the other things as at the time of writing. However, I am dedicated to learn more and share with the community.

See you in my next spl post. Thank you.
