Hello everyone! I hope we're all in good condition, free from illness, and happy every day. I've been busy with work, so it took a while to finish my digital fan art. There's a lot going on this week, but I couldn't pass up the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 277! The character I chose to draw is VENARI WAVESMITH from the water unit. I still remember when the chaos reward was newly released; this card is great for every rank in Splinterlands, especially due to its strong shield ability. "I turned Venari Wavesmith into a person, not a mouse like in the card, haha..." Alright, enough of the story, join me as I show you how I created my chosen digital fan art this week.

Using my cellphone, I started sketching with the dip hard pen in IBISPAINTX. I added a new layer to clean up the messy drawing, making adjustments to the lines in the sketch. I separated the layers for hair, clothes, face, and hands in my sketch. For the base color, I added another layer and colored it based on my reference.

Next was adding color to the base color, starting with the skin tone. I used a multiply layer for shadows and dark parts of my drawing. Meanwhile, I used color dodge and add layers for the light spots. I went through several coloring iterations before achieving the desired skin tone. After the clothes, I tackled the hair. I had difficulty with the color, so I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to color hair. Fortunately, I picked up the technique. I used the airbrush and dip hard pen for coloring, employing a multiply layer for dark areas and an add layer for light areas.

For the background, I added a water-like element and used blur to focus attention on my fan art.
