Happy day of Friday,

We have reached the end of the business day in the week. I am interested in the combat in the brawl section of the game. My guild regularly enters the tournament in the brawl event. My fellow guild member Saffisara has shared an interesting line-up that caught my attention.

The ruleset

Target Practice: All units with magic and ranged attacks have Snipe (magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position).

Back to Basics: Units lose all abilities.

Maneuvers: All units have Reach (can use melee attacks from the second position).

Mana-value 51

All units in the arena have lost their abilities, so the warrior can only rely on the summoners and arena given capability to engage in the battlefield.

The absence of ability inherent to the cards did not reduce in this situation the dangerous contribution from the Summoner and the potential utilization of the reach ability to mount a terrible melee card in second position.

Strategies

It was clear from the first analysis of the ruleset that the arena won't help the personal combination strategy built during the selection of the cards.

The fighter knew that the difference will come from the additional push coming from the summoner. The opposition based the offensive strategies of the light warrior on the magic attack and serious defense with the void.

The Fire team monster selection had "blast" ability from Zaku that put the offensive operation to the highest level right from the first round. The warrior on Zaku side did not possess a critical element to build a defense against the enemy's attacks.

Final thoughts

I have watched this combat many times and could not find a way to oppose the constant damage coming from Zaku team, especially when "Back to the basic" is activated in the arena.

The light team combination shared an interesting group of magic fighters who can only operate to a certain limit of their own potential.

Zaku is a terrible summoner in certain condition, but it is possible to overpower his war machine in specific condition.

I learned that the Back to basic ruleset is one of the best circumstances where Zaku and similar powerful summoners can enter the arena.

It is interesting to play the best cards in your collection to offer a beautiful surprise to the opposite forces, whose power can only be greater if we do nothing to counter them.
