Hi Splinterlands Friends,

Introduction

It has been 2 months sinceSplinterlands has started to sale Chaos Legion packs and Legendry Monsters with 0 Mana in each Splinter are very eye capturing cause they can fit in Low Mana Matches with no Mana cost, but there are many Odd Low Mana matches in which you can also fit 1 Mana Mosnter in your team . This post is about those important 1 Mana Monsters in Chaos Legion packs and their abilities in Higher levels you can take benefit by using in your team. Those abilities mostly start at level 3 and most likely you find Gold Foil version of those Monster cards cheap to buy now about 1$ to 2$. (You can increase your Rank Battle Rewards by using a Gold Foil card to 10%) so I have focused on those Level 3 Gold Foils to discuss.

Let's proceed with the description for each monster in 6 Splinters

Chaos Agent

RARITY: Common

ABILITY: Dodge (Level 3), Phase (Level 6), Back Fire (Level 10)

Doge: Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.( +25% Dodge vs melee/ranged, A fast monster with Flying and Dodge will be very hard to hit by Melee and Ranged attacks.)

Phase: Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks)
Back Fire: If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage

Usage:
  • You can put it in the 1st position to miss enemies Magic Melee Archor attack

use it at last position in SuperSneak Ruleset in Low Mana Matches(All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.)

Carrion Shade

RARITY: Common
SPLINTER: Death
ABILITY: Flying (Level 3)

Flying: Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability (+25% chance of evading. Snare can remove Flying. Does not work against enemies that have Flying itself. It does not affect magic attacks.)

use it at EarthQuake RuleSet (Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.)

RARITY: Common
SPLINTER: Earth
ABILITY: Thorns (Level 3)

Thorns : When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker. (Has an upper cap of 2 and could increase by one using Amplify Ability) Summoner Mylor Crowling gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle

Usage:
  • You can put it in the 1st or last position to throne enemies Melee attack

Gargoya Scrapper

RARITY: Common
SPLINTER: Life
ABILITY: Void (Level 3)

Void: Reduced damage from Magic attacks.(Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage. Summoner Mimosa Nightshade gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle)

use it at keep your distance RuleSet to defence against possible Magic attack (Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.)

Hardy Stonefish

RARITY: Common
SPLINTER: Water
ABILITY: No ability just 1 Shield

Void: Unfortunately this Monster doesn't have an especial ability but it has 1 shield to protect against Melee or orcher damage in the 1st position or last position when sneak attackers try to hit your team from the back.

Usage:

  • -
use it at Melee Mayhem RuleSet (Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position.)

Conclusion

One Mana Monsters are also important cards like 0 Mana monsters that can change the outcome of the game. It is recommended to have these cards when playing either through buying or renting.

These Monsters will enable you to challenge your enemy in differnet ruleset matches when there is only 1 Mana left.

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using blockchain technology, players can buy, sell, and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.

Good read. I think players should consider these 1-mana cards more than what I see. Sharing this on Splinterlands Digest Twitter.
