In February 9th 2022 at Town Hall, Splinterlands announced Partnership With Waka Flocka great American rapper. Lets review his breef career from Wikipedia:
Introduction
Juaquin James Malphurs (born May 31, 1986), known professionally as Waka Flocka Flame, is an American rapper. Signing to 1017 Brick Squad and Warner Bros. Records in 2009, he became a mainstream artist with the release of his singles "O Let's Do It", "Hard in da Paint", and "No Hands" (featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale), with the latter peaking at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100. His debut studio album Flockaveli was released in 2010. His second studio album Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family was released in 2012 and was preceded by the lead single "Round of Applause" (featuring Drake).
In April 2015 Waka Flocka did a collaboration campaign with Rolling Stone magazine in which he pretended to run for president. Although he was 7 years too young to be considered president, the campaign, directed by Sam Lipman Stern of Live from the Streets, went viral and was picked up by dozens of media outlets such as CNN, La Times, Washington Post and many more.
SplinterLands Special Waka SpiritBlade
So because of this great partnership , Splinterlands team have desgined a special Legendery Death Summoner named Waka SpiritBlade with 3 Mana. This great Legendry Summoner will give each Monster Poison Ability.
Lets review Poison Ability:
Attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.The Poison ability is triggered 50% of the time. Poison does damage at the end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void.
Supply and Shopping
Max supply of this great Legendry Monster will only be 1000, and each one being a max level (960 Regular Foil - 40 Gold Foil), The team promised to launch it near the end of this month.(Exact amounts and dates of the sale will be released next week) But
- First 500 (480 reg, 20 GF) is going to be sold in the in-game shop and needs SPS + Vouchers to purchase.
- Last 500 is going to be sold on Atomichub sometime after the first 500 are sold out, only payable with WAX.
My Expectation and Conclusion
Splinterlands has made a great decision to go and find great partners in the entertainment industry. They have also announced partnership with Imagine Dragons and showing 30 second Splinterlands promo video at each Imagine Dragons tour before the band takes the stage. It is a great move in Art Industry.
As a Splinterlands fan I just hope they also find partners in Sport Industry like Wristling.
As a fan of The Legend The Undertaker American retired professional wrestler (Mark William Calaway) I wish to see his Legendry Death Monster one day in Splinterlands.
I would like u to look at my card Design from The Undertaker with 1/2 ability.
