Hello Hive
Welcome back to another battle mage secrets. This week's theme features the "Rise of the Commons" Ruleset. A brief discussion of this ruleset and its best strategy is the main purpose of this text. However, before I start the discussion properly, kindly take a look at the post that announced this week's battle mage secrets and join if it interests you.
Rise of The Commons
Basically, the ruleset "Rise of the Commons" sets the boundary for a game in which only common and rare monsters can be used in the battle. Every other class of monsters such as the epic and legendary cannot be used in the ruleset although this ruleset is not applicable in the use of summoners. To identify this ruleset, a logo is provided just as every other rulesets in the game and that of the rise of the commons can be seen above containing a sword, shield, and a moon-like circle.
Best Practice for Rise of The Commons Strategies
When it comes to rulesets such as the rise of the commons, there is no special thing to be done other than setting up a formidable team that will be equal to the task given. Any Kind of monster can be used in this battle provided they are either common or rare. However, the attack type of monsters to use is totally dependent on the player's choice.
For the battle I presented here, the blast fire summoner was my main focus on winning the battle and this is because the Holy Protection ruleset got involved in the battle.
All I did was use more ranged attack monsters since the summoner used adds to the number of their damage and I provided a protective shield to guard the team from attack

Team Selection
Summoner: YODIN ZAKU
Rarity/Element: Legendary/Fire
stat: +1 Ranged damage👌 +1 Health & Blast
The selection of this summoner came as a result of trying to overcome the divine shield ability given to the monsters by the Holy Protection ruleset. The blast stat from this summoner helps take away the divine shield of the targeted opponent monster and that of its teammate around it which exposes their health to damage. This summoner also increased the health of all friendly monsters by one and increased ranged monsters' damage by one.
ARKEMIS THE BEAR
Arkemis the Bear stood as the defender of the team and the reason for this was to protect the team with its protective ability. Also, it is a melee monster with moderate melee damage and high health. It was used at level three where its other abilities had not developed
GARGOYA DEVIL
Gargoya Devil followed immediately after the defender. This ranged monster has the close-ranged ability which means it can attack from the front position when it gets there. It also has a flying ability which increases its chances of evading targets from melee and ranged monsters. Unfortunately, it ranks very low in terms of health.
BLOOD MAKER
Blood Maker is the second ranged monster to be included in the battle. Ability-wise, it has the scattered shot ability which means that it doesn't follow a particular pattern while attacking its opponent. Its attack hits random monsters and it has a high speed. Its scattered shot ability helped the team in destroying the divine shield of the enemy's teams faster.
FIRECALLER
The martyr Firecaller is yet another ranged monster on the battlefield. Its ranged damage in this battle is four which is enough to make a difference. It also has the martyr ability which benefits monsters close to it at its death. The monster contributed immensely to the success of the team.
LAVA SPIDER
Lava Spider has a similar stat with the other ranged monsters used but in its case, it possesses the snipe ability. Having such a monster that attacked from another angle while possessing the blast ability was very helpful to the team. It didn't have much damage to offer because it came from level one.
SCAVO CHEMIST
This non-fighting monster was used to complete the remaining mana. It has the cleansing ability and will benefit the front-row monster in the case of being hit with poison.
That will be all for this week. I hope you enjoyed the read. Please join me next week for another battle mage secrets challenge same place. Leave a comment on how the strategy can be better or any other of your choice.
