Fury Ability and Taunt Ability Review and Amazing Battle | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

in #hive-133236 hours ago

Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will be talking about the Fury Ability and Taunt Ability, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.

Fury Ability & Taunt Ability

All enemy Monsters target the Monster with Taunt Ability. However, the Monster in the first position and the Monster with Reach Ability target the enemy Monster in the first position, so if the enemy Monster with Taunt ability is not in the first position, they will not target it.

I use Taunt Ability very often, especially in high mana battles, I definitely include it in my lineup, and I even do not hesitate to add more than one Monster with Taunt Ability to my team when I have the opportunity because they can help my strategy a lot. Meanwhile, if more than one Monster with the Taunt Ability is in play, the Monster closest to the first position will be targeted, and when that Monster is destroyed, the next Monster with Taunt Ability will be targeted.

Using Fury Ability against Taunt Ability is very useful because Monsters with Fury Ability do double damage to Monsters with Taunt Ability. Therefore, using Taunt Ability against Monsters with Fury Ability can be a big disadvantage.

In battles with the Ferocity ruleset, all monsters have the Fury Ability, so I recommend you think twice before including the Taunt Ability in your lineup in battles with this ruleset. If I believe Taunt Ability will help my strategy, I will not hesitate to include it in my lineup no matter the circumstances. Although Fury Ability does double damage to Monsters with Taunt Ability, their other abilities can take less damage from certain abilities. For example, Void Ability reduces damage from Magic attacks by 50%, Forcefield Ability takes only 1 damage from attacks with power 5 or higher, and Shield Ability reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%.

Below I will talk about a battle that I think will be a good example of the Fury Ability and the Taunt Ability, let's examine the battle.

BATTLE

Battle Ruleset

  • Ferocity: All Monsters have the Fury ability.
  • Aim True: Attacks always hit their target.

According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle will have the Fury Ability, and attacks always hit their target. When I reviewed the recent five battles of the opposing player, I was almost certain that the opposing player would use Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, so I added Iziar, who has Taunt Ability, Void Ability, and Martyr Ability, to my team, even though all Monsters have Fury Ability. Although Iziar will take double damage in this battle, its Void Ability will reduce damage from Magic attacks by 50%. Iziar also has the Martyr Ability so when it dies, adjacent Monsters will get +1 to all stats.

BATTLE COMMENTS

The opposing team also has Agor Longtail with the Taunt Ability in the first position. Agor Longtail is also very powerful and can be very effective in battles, but it was not possible for it to be very effective in this battle.

Round 1

Thanks to the Void Ability, Iziar took 50% less damage from magic attacks, so it couldn't be destroyed in the first round, but Agor Longtail was easily destroyed in the first round despite having 6 armor and 11 health, but was brought back to life with 1 Health with the Resurrect Ability.

Round 2

No matter how much health and armor Agor Longtail has, it was already very difficult for it to survive Drybone Barbarian's brutal attacks and it was destroyed a second time at the beginning of the second round, which is exactly why I recommend you think twice before putting Taunt Ability against Fury Ability. Iziar was also destroyed twice in the second round, but since it had the Martyr Ability, each time it died, Drybone Barbarian and Captain Katie got +1 to all their stats, which happened twice in the second round.

It was now very difficult to resist and survive Captain Katie and Drybone Barbarian's attacks, and the fact that the Monsters on the opposing team had no armor caused them to have a very hard time.

Round 3

In the third round, the opposing team had only 3 Monsters left and it wasn't hard to destroy them at all and my team managed to win the battle quite easily.

The battle lasted four rounds and at the end of the battle, all the Monsters on the opposing team were destroyed while 5 Monsters on my team were still alive. Only Iziar was destroyed from my team, which was already part of my strategy. In this battle, my strategy worked pretty well and my team won the battle pretty easily. Having a level 3 Iziar card provides a great advantage in many battles, and I can say that it is the card I use the most, especially in battles over 45 mana. And even though all the Monsters on the opposing team have the Fury Ability, I don't hesitate to add Iziar to my team because it can help me win a lot, the above battle was an example of this.

If you haven't joined this fascinating world yet, I think you're missing out and I highly recommend you consider joining Splinterlands.
