Splinterlands Useful Tips and Tricks

I believe that in the current Splinterlands environment it is worth having a maxed out deck. To build your deck you can use Splinterlands interface, but it would be a bit more challenging. There are great third party tools out there. One of my favorite sites is Splintercards

First place I would start to build your deck is to use their Set Value tool to see which sets give you the best value for the money.

For example Rebellion is a great set, but it is almost $7,000:

I believe that the best set to get is Chaos Legion Core. This is a very powerful set, but because it is overprinted it costs only $691:

Another must have set is Chaos Legion Rewards set. It is a very useful set, but it costs only $96:

Once you determine the sets you want to buy you can hunt for bargains by looking at individual card value charts on Splintercards, here is for example Chaos Legion set: https://splintercards.com/cards.html?ed=7

Once you click on one of the cards you get the following screen:

There are two items of particular interest. In the table on the left I circled the discount for buying multiple BCX card vs buying a single BCX card as you can see it is 18% in this case. On the right you can see the chart of single BCX value and multiple BCX value. I like buying cards that have at least 50% discount for multiple BCX and I like buying close to the bottom of the multiple BCX chart.

You can find the best deals on Chaos Legion cards using the following page: Low card & Low Bcx Prices Gap

One of the tricks I learned recently that saves me a lot of time and clicking is using combine all cards feature in conjunction with card filters. Here is what I do every time I get new soul-bound reward cards or Gladiator cards:

  1. I select Owned Soulbound in a drop-down
  2. Select Rebellion and Gladius Card Sets
  3. Click on the plus sign I circled on the right

This combines all of the soul-bound gladiator and rebellion rewards cards:

Finally, here is how I spend my Glint to improve my deck:

  1. I believe Major Chests are the most cost effective because they provide a great mix of cards, merits and energy
  2. Epic Cards. I believe in this set Epic cards are the best cards even better than Legendary cards especially considering the much higher cost of legendary draws.

After I buy all the Major Chests and Epic draws I like to spend the remainder on Minor Chests, Rare Draws and Common Draws.
