**Hey Hiverians! **
Since I'm still learning about_ Splinterlands_ I did a bit of research and wanted to hear what you guys think also...
Let's talk about the current situation of SPS price and cards.
We all know that the governance token of Splinterlands it's call Splintershards ( SPS ).
How is it created? Well back then a big part of SPS were distributed by airdrops. and now?? Well Staking rewards, Liquidity pools, tournament rewards and playing the game like this:
It is interesting pretty cool.
What is the current price of SPS ? it is 0.0051 usd, now it looks like it hit a ATL ( All Time Low) which could be a good entry point for people who invest but if we look at a bigger picture it looks like it could still be a dangerous position. Anyway i just put 100usd for staking and playing splinterlands, I marked it as a entry trade but I'm not trading it.
Supply and demand could be one big reason for the bearish situation, since we spoke above, the constant supply from staking rewards might be the reason for it. Since the SPS is basically infinite, not like Bitcoin (++ you all know that the total Bitcion in existence are 19,783,193.75 and there always going to be 19,783,193.75 for ever ++)
- The **utility **it has in the Splinterlands ecosystem, so in other words it also depends on the amount of players the game itself has, more players more demand prices goes up.
- SPS is subject to speculative trading, negative or positive confidence can attrack or take away Investors.
- the **competition **against other games is another fact that might impact however Splinterlands is one of the biggest play to earn games nowadays. So sharing the game and talking about it always have a good impact for our community.
_SPS _is experiencing a bearish trend however the development of new game futures ( like selling or renting cards sets, etc new sets, cards) has incresead player base, and broader adoption of blockchain gaming can potentially reverse this bearish trend! ++expect the moon.++
So far what I like the most is that in Splinterlands the market system, it is in USD, even though you pay with DEC ( Dark Energy Crystals) or Credits the price is always in USD, so the value of the card depends on the importance of the card and the amount of card in circulation. Very cool way to avoid the Pay Per Win issue.
New set is incoming guys!! How do you think this will impact the value of the cards ??
Leave a comment and see you on next post!
Thank you for reading appreciate the good vibes guys!
