Introduction
Hello everyone! How's your day? I hope you're all doing well in everything you do and wherever you are right now! It may be late but how's your end of season rewards and your guild brawls? I hope it went great as well! I have been very busy these past few days but anyway, here I am again for another
@Splinterlands Guild Brawl Battle Report. I am constantly trying to be able to improve and help the guild especially through participating in guild brawls. I will share my battle thoughts and gameplay in this post. Enjoy reading! I hope you will like it! 👻
My Brawl Performance
For this brawl, I have still chosen to fill the Novice Chaos Legion Fray because it is just my favorite fray. I got 12 points with 4 wins and 0 loss. I am also rewarded with 1,231 merits which is sadly not enough for me to buy a gladius case. I am very happy with my performance for having an undefeated result. This is my second brawl here in Immortal Gods V guild and I have an awesome experience here so far with everyone being so supportive and so competitive. I would also like to commend my opponents on the brawl for those amazing battles that we have. Good game and well played! Thank you!
Battle Summary and Analysis
Brawl Battle #1
Me VS NOKO855 of Legendary Warane - Battle Link
Result: Win
Pre-battle analysis
For this battle, with the available splinters and rulesest, I have chosen Kelya as my summoner because she's the only one I think that could give me a little bit of an advantage because of the armor and speed. The other splinters have decent melee or range buff but does not have a magic attack buff. If he opted to use magic attackers, it will be also countered lightly by my Baakjira as a tank that has void and slow. I also have River Helondale which has a resurrect ability to be able to revive any of my monsters that will die first. I think this is a useful ability for this battle because it gives me so much time for the battle to be longer which will make my Edith Emberstar to deal so much damage over time.
Starting Round
As shown below, my opponent also used Kelya with mostly melee monsters. His Deeplurker will be targeting my Torrent Fiend for many turns. His repair armor will be a good help for his Diemonshark but I have two magic attackers that will directly hit its HP. My tank has a significant high HP to take all the damage.
Final Round
My Torrent Fiend was revived by my River Helondale which caught the attention again of his Deeplurker and made my other monsters to be safe that dealt so much damage which eventually killed his entire team. My Baakjira died but served his role very well.
Lesson Learned
I think I just got lucky on this battle because my opponent does not have a gladiator card or any legendary cards summoned that may really helped him. For me, before submitting my team, I think this is one of the battles that was very tricky because there were a lot of possible lineups that I could use here. I was also thinking of using Deeplurker here.
Brawl Battle #2
Me VS ACHYLLETALON of Team D3mons (FR+QC) - Battle link not available. Saved the wrong link.
Result: Win
Pre-battle analysis
For this battle, I have chosen General Sloan as my summoner because of the additional range attack buff. With the rulesets, I have no reason to use the earth splinter here. With that in mind, my only concern is the water splinter because of the armor and speed. It was a 17-mana battle, a bit low but I have a gladius card from life splinter that suits very well which is Ajax Lightfoot. So I have chosen him and Gem Meteor because they have high speed that could match the blue splinter's speed buff if my opponent opted to use it.
Starting Round
As we can see below, my opponent used Kelya with Diemonshark as his main tank and damager. His Scavo Hireling doesn't do anything here because of the ruleset. His team will only deal 3 damage at most every round which will make my Xenith Monk to survive two rounds.
Final Round
My range attackers were still very healthy. My Gargoya Scrapper didn't even die from the battle. I placed him to serve as a third meat shield before my range attackers.
Lesson Learned
Whenever I came across a back to basics ruleset, I will most likely choose summoners that give an additional damage buff to my team. I was just also lucky that I have a gladiator card that could benefit from this. For this battle, I was only choosing between Kelya and General Sloan but I can't maximize Kelya's buff too much of the ruleset and low mana battle.
Brawl Battle #3
Me VS NIVIR01 of JeffOpensCards' Crew - Battle Link
Result: Win
Pre-battle analysis
For this battle, I have chosen Obsidian as my summoner and pair it with my Quora and other legendary magic attackers that also have the lowest speed possible, which is 1. I have too much sustain with this lineup - healing, tank heal and triage. The armor buff from Queen Mycelia also helps a lot as the other two splinters are likely focused on physical attacks. Whenever I saw the reverse speed ruleset and the earth splinter is available, I will most of the time choose the earth splinter.
Starting Round
My opponent have chosen General Sloan as his summoner and he also has a decent tank which lightly being able to tank my magic attacks. However, his tank will not be able to sustain too much magic damage from my team.
Final Round
I think this is a really one-sided match. Quora along with my other monsters were too much to handle. Too much sustain and damage at the same time.
Lesson Learned
There is nothing else I would change in this lineup for this specific battle. For me, this is the best lineup I could think for reverse speed battles in novice chaos legion fray.
Brawl Battle #4
Me VS FLYERCHEN1 of The Bronze Syndicate - Battle Link
Result: Win
Pre-battle analysis
For this battle, with the available splinters and ruleset, I have chosen Quix as my summoner and paired it with the water splinter. My thoughts before the battle is that I want to reduce his range attack if he opted to use General Sloan and any other range attackers or reduce his speed if he opted to use Kelya and other speedy monsters. With the fog of war ruleset, I used monsters that can attack from different positions, has relatively high HPs and two main tanks that has armor.
Starting Round
As we can see below, he used Kelya as his summoner with his range attackers that will only target my Wave Brood because of the taunt ability. It is quite good because it has 12 HP which technically also serves as my other tank. My Zyvax Vuul will deal massive damage after the recharge. My Desert Dragon will not be killed easily.
Final Round
My Desert Dragon and Wave Brood were still alive while my opponent's entire team was destroyed. I have so much damage dealt in every round and he does not have any gladiator or legendary card too.
Lesson Learned
If I will have to encounter the same battle, I will still use this lineup because of the heavy damage per round, taunt ability as a distraction, two main tanks that has armor and decent HPs, opportunity and recharge ability are very useful as well.
Guild Performance - Immortal Gods V
All 13 frays were filled for this brawl and all battles were submitted. However, notice that there were only 9 of us that have battles. There were frays from other guilds that were not filled leaving some of my guildmates to have no battle/s to be fought. I think this is also the reason why we have a very low merit rewards for this brawl. Our guild, Immortal Gods V, managed to have 111 points with 37 wins, 10 losses and 0 draws. We got first place for this brawl! Yeheyyyy! Everyone fought hard and really wanted to help the guild win first place again. Good game and well played to my guildmates and to other guilds as well!
