Hello everyone, in this post I will show you a card that is one of the best options currently to deal damage in battles with the life deck. This card is Prismologist and its Attack Type is Ranged and when combined with Summoner General Sloan it becomes an incredible damage-dealing machine.
Prismologist is an epic card from the chaos legion edition and it has 6 levels and with each level it gets stronger, but currently I'm only using it at level 1 because I'm still in the bronze league, but I hope to use it at higher levels later on because it's a great card.
Before getting to know what the Prismologist is like in battle, take a look at its general characteristics.
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Epic
Deck: Life
Attack type: Ranged
Abilities: Blast, Forcefield and Silence
Mana Cost: 8
Power: 100 ( 1 BCX )
Prismologist is a damage focused card and the only changes she has to her levels are her attack, health and abilities. At all her levels her speed is low so she will have a hard time starting to attack unless the battle has a Reverse Speed rule because in that rule she will be even stronger and probably one of the first cards to attack. In addition to attack, speed and health she also has a little shield that will be very useful against melee and ranged attacks.
Because it is a card with a high mana cost you will only be able to play with it when the mana available in battle is high because it is a ranged card and this type of card does not attack in the first position so instead of using it in battle it would be better to use more low mana cards when available mana is low, but when the battle has a good amount of mana (26+) it will be a great choice and won't let you down when dealing damage.
Now I will explain its abilities which as I mentioned before are 3: Blast, Forcefield and Silence.
The first ability is Blast and it is the reason Prismologist does a lot of damage because this ability will cause her to deal additional damage to the card next to the target she attacks. If it attacks the 1st position card then it will deal some of this damage to the 2nd position card but if there is any rule that allows the Prismologist to attack the back row cards then it has a chance to deal additional damage up to 2 cards.
The second ability is Forcefield and it makes Prismologist only take 1 damage when the attacking card has 5+ ATK. These cards aren't uncommon in major leagues so the fact that Prismologist doesn't have a lot of health is offset by this ability.
The third ability is Silence and it reduces the magic attack of your opponent's cards by 1. This is a great way to decrease the damage that cards with magic attack do in battle, mainly because they ignore the card's shield and attack directly. their life.
Besides Prismologist I also used other cards that I considered a good combination for him and that did very well in battle.
The Summoner chosen was General Sloan which increases the ranged attack of my cards by +1 so he will be a great choice for Prismologist and my other ranged cards in battle.
For the first position I chose the Blinding Reflector card which is a melee card with low mana cost, as the available mana was not very high I had to select cards with low mana cost to get Prismologist in battle, but this card is a great choice defending because it has a good amount of shield.
For the second position I chose the Celestial Harpy card which is also a low mana cost melee card that has the abilities Flying and Opportunity.
For the third position I chose the Herbalist card which is a ranged card with no abilities, but it will be a great card for battle with General Sloan and its mana cost is low.
For the fourth position I choose the Truthspeaker card which has no attack but has the Protect ability which will increase my cards' shields by +2 and will be very useful in battle.
For the fifth position I choose the Venari Crystalsmith card which is a ranged card with the Tank Heal ability, it will be useful for healing the first position card.
For the last position I choose the Prismologist that has a shield and it will be my card that will do the most damage in battle.
BATTLE
This battle took place in the bronze league and the deck used by me was the Life deck with the summoner General, the deck used by my opponent was the life deck with the summoner General Sloan.
Both are using the same deck and the same summoner, my opponent's cards are very strong especially the Pelacor Arbalest that attacks 2x because of its Double Strike ability but I also have strong cards and having Truthspeaker in the battle was a good choice because the shield she gives to my cards will be very useful since most of my opponent's cards are melee and ranged.
My opponent's Shieldbearer has the Taunt ability so it will be the target of attacks and a great defense because it has a lot of health and shield, my opponent also has the Time Mage card with the Slow ability that will reduce the speed of my cards by 1.
There is no set rule in this battle.
Round 1:
In the first round having my cards speed decreased was a big problem because my cards already had low speed and this made most of my opponent's cards attack first, but I had a good amount of shield so the Blinding Reflector defended well before being defeated. The Prismologist did a lot of damage to the Shieldbearer and Time Mage and that left them low on health, when both are defeated I will have the advantage in battle.
None of my opponent's cards have been defeated and 1 of my cards.
Round 2:
In the second round Prismologist's attack defeated Shieldbearer and Time Mage and that gave me a big advantage because it made my remaining cards regain the speed they had lost, then it was Venari Cystalsmith's turn to attack and she defeated Herbalist from my opponent, now his first position card is Pelacor Arbalest and he is not able to attack.
2 cards from my opponent were defeated and 2 cards from me.
Round 3:
In the third round my opponent had only 2 cards in the battle and both were ranged and had low health and speed, so it was Prismologist's turn to attack again and with a single attack she defeated 2 cards again causing the battle to have its result.
Conclusion:
Even though Prismologist spends a lot of mana in battle she is an incredibly powerful card that does a lot of damage, in this battle you could see that she practically defeated all my opponent's cards with her powerful attack, so if you're looking for a great card in the deck that deals an incredible amount of damage to Prismologist is a great choice.
