In this post I will analyze the Forgotten One card and see if it is really worth its current price, which is 6x the value of other cards of the same rarity edition.
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Epic
Deck: Fire
Type of attack: Melee
Abilities: Immunity, Retaliate, Piercing
Mana Cost: 9
Power: 100 ( 1 BCX )
The Forgotten One is a card that has incredibly strong stats and abilities, in the image below you can get a better view of the card.
At level 6, which is his maximum level, he has 6 attack, 2 speed, 5 shield and 10 health, which makes him an excellent choice for both defending and attacking. Its only 2 negative points is its mana cost which is quite high but worth every mana spent and its speed which is extremely low even at the highest level, but this is only a negative point if there is no Reverse Speed rule because with that As a rule the Forgotten One becomes an even more incredible card for your battles, in addition it has 3 very useful abilities that make it much stronger.
His first ability is Immunity which makes him immune to all negative stats and as the Forgotten One is the type of card that you will place in the first position so he will receive most attacks, so having this ability will be very useful because it makes it a much better defensive card as it won't take damage from abilities like Poison, it won't be stunned which makes it an unstoppable card so it will always attack on its turn, it won't suffer attack, speed or health reduction. So think of Forgotten One as an amazing card that will do its job without getting into too much trouble.
The second ability is Retaliate and it makes the Forgotten One an even better offensive card because whenever a melee card attacks it, it has a 50% chance to fight back that attack and attack the card back with its highest attack, so if he has 6 attack at max level and he retaliates an attack then he would attack 2x and that would do 12 damage in just 1 turn and that's a lot, so the more melee cards your opponent has the greater the chances of Forgotten One does more damage.
The third ability is Piercing which makes the Forgotten One even more unstoppable because with this ability it will deal the excess damage dealt to the shield directly on the card's health, so if the card has 2 shield and the Forgotten One has 6 attack it will do 2 damage on shield and still 4 damage on life card, if not for this ability then it would only deal 2 damage on shield and the remaining 4 damage would be wasted, so this is a very useful ability for him .
These are the abilities of Forgotten One, it's a really amazing card don't you think?
Value
Now that you know more about the card's usefulness in battles, let's talk about values.
The price of the Forgotten One card at the time of writing is $2.97 and that is 6x the value of other cards of the same edition and rarity such as the Temporal Master card which is being sold at $0.54.
As you have seen and I believe that few will disagree, Forgotten One is an incredibly strong and useful card for battles and this is one of the aspects that most value a card since its main use is in battles. If we look at the other cards that have lower values, we soon realize that this difference is given precisely because of this. The only epic chaos legion card that surpasses Forgotten One is the Grund which is also incredibly strong but I still don't think it's better.
The image above shows the daily chart of the Forgotten One provided by Peakmonster where there was a high number of purchases for the card (94) which made it appreciate a little in price.
In the weekly chart you can see that the number of cards sold in the week was 423, so 94 cards in a single day is quite a lot and the average price of the card for the week was around $2.65
Chaos Legion edition cards are traded frequently on the Marketplace so you won't have much trouble selling them, so keeping an eye on cards like the Forgotten One when it drops in price is an excellent opportunity to profit in the short term because the trend is that it goes up again, but if you think in the short term, if your intention is for the long term then it's even better because as soon as the chaos legion packs are finished being sold these cards have a high chance of valuing a lot then beyond having an excellent card will also be a great investment, but of course, like any investment, this one also has its risks, keep that in mind.
This is my review of this card on how useful it is to you in battles and as an Investment, now stick with your story.

LORE
For an age the towering beast had slumbered in the bowels of the deepest caverns of fire, a weapon forged for a war lost to memory or myth.
Into an invocation drawn from a rotting manuscript the High Magus of the Crypteia poured all his malice and hate. Drawing the razored flint across his palm he sealed the pact, completing the summoning, calling forth the great flaming homunculus, the Forgotten One.
As the great beast crawled from the burning pit, the Magus bade it roam free and armed it with a broad blade twice as tall as any man. It dwells there now, birthing others of its kind and passing on the knowledge of their making, and serves at the pleasure of the Magus as a hand of Chaos.
Of those that remained in the high vaulted chamber, the wizard's council stood in unison, confronting the hex bound High Magus of the Crypteia Turbulum, detailing his blasphemous crimes and sentencing him to death. As one they began the great working that would end him and repair his damage to the veil.
They were at first surprised and confused by his mad cackling laughter until the great flaming form emerged from the living rock. As the beast roared, the Magus' cackling rose hysterically as the council scattered in terror.
