Hello everyone, in this post I will talk about a Splinterlands card that is not very common to see in battles but I believe it is very useful and an excellent card to have in your collection and in battles. This card is Acid Shooter and he is an epic card from the chaos legion edition, if you still don't know him then you will know in this post how he is a great choice for you.
Two parts will draw a lot of attention in Acid Shooter (Three if you consider its look). What draws attention to him is the fact that it only costs 2 mana to have him in battle so it's the type of card you won't worry so much about putting in battles that have little mana available. The second part that stands out is its abilities, which in total are Three and that's quite a lot of abilities for a card that only costs 2 mana and they're great for battles, let's get to know more about them.
The first is the ability Scattershot and it makes Acid Shooter attack a random enemy card. Particularly I consider it a good ability but it depends on the luck of which card it attacks, if it is a low health card then it will be a good target because the chances of defeating it are high, but if it is a high health card or the card from first position which is usually the tank of the battle so it won't make much difference.
The second enable is Cripple. Each time an enemy is hit by a Monster with Cripple it loses one max health. If crippled monster is cleansed, it will recover 1 health for every time it has been crippled since the last cleanse. So I consider it a great ability too that will increase the damage that Acid Shooter is able to do in battle.
Its last ability is Poison. Attacks have a chance (50%) to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied. Poison does 2 damage each end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void. It's another great ability that will further increase the damage Acid Shooter is able to do in battle.
In terms of abilities Acid Shooter is excellent because all of them will be very useful for your battle and even if its attack is not high I consider it very good for a card with only 2 mana cost and that has abilities that increase damage that he is able to cause in battle.
Let's take a look now at the general statistics of the Acid Shooter card.
In the image above you can better see all the statistics of the Acid Shooter card, including its levels and abilities. To access this part just click on the card and go to the Stats part, I will leave the main information about it below.
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Epic
Deck: Earth
Attack type: Ranged
Abilities: Scattershot, Cripple and Poison
Mana Cost: 2
Power: 100 ( 1 BCX )
Acid Shooter is an excellent card that for its mana cost it has practically no weaknesses, its attack is not high but from level 3 it already has 2 attack and I consider it a good attack for a card with its mana cost, his speed is not high but also not low so I wouldn't consider it a weakness and his health is also not low so I believe his biggest weakness is at level 1 and 2 where he has only 1 attack and the Scattershot ability.
But let's talk about values which is also an important topic to mention in Splinterlands and the question is: what is the price of Acid Shooter and is it worth having it for that price?.
Let's start by talking about the price of the card.
Value
The current price of Acid Shooter at the time this post is being published is $0.85 and I consider it a low price for an amazing card like it, but this is due to the fact that the chaos legion packs are still being sold in the splinterlands shop and this greatly limits the value of the cards in this edition currently, so when the packs run out, cards like Acid Shooter and many others from this edition that are incredible in battle will have their prices much higher than these.
The weekly chart that Peakmonster provides shows 785 cards were sold this week alone and this is a lot for an epic card and it also shows a slight downward trend but this is common because the chaos legion edition cards have very volatile prices so ideal thinking in the short term is to plot an average price of this card and buy it when it's below it because it will probably go up in value again just like it happened countless times in the last few weeks. For the long term the current price is not very relevant because if you believe in the potential of this card for when the packs are finished being sold then its price will probably be higher than what you are paying now, but it's always good to buy when it's cheap to maximize your earnings.
Regarding Acid Shooter being a good choice of card for this price, I believe so because cards with low mana cost and strong like him are very useful in battles because having little mana available is something common and its price in relation to other epic cards from the same edition is low so I believe it still has a lot of financial potential for the future.
Remembering that every investment has its risks and this is not an investment tip, just my opinion about the card and its financial potential for the future.

LORE
Acid Shooters work alongside the Scavo to design new defense weaponry. They wield great metal crossbows with cannisters of acid attached to them. The crossbow can fire the entire bottle at targets or spray a burst of acid. Each shot that hits its target is capable of corroding the thickest armor. Contact with skin is dangerous and extremely painful.
“I would recommend holding it away from any vital body parts.” Said Lathandi, master tinkerer of weapons and armors.
“All of my body parts are vital!” responded Skye, as she lowered the metal crossbow she was holding. The Scavo just smiled as they took the crossbow from Skye's arms. “Now, attach the canister of acid like so, and the weapon is armed.”
Placing a small glass vial full of green bubbling liquid on top of the crossbow, Lathandi pointed the weapon at a single target 120 feet away. Looking down the sights, they held their breath, focused, and pressed the trigger. A stream of acid burst from the crossbow, spraying the target and the wall behind it.
The kickback knocked Lathandi onto their back and they rolled onto their butt. Skye screamed and jumped behind a nearby desk. Both locked eyes with each other before looking at the target. All that remained was the left leg of the dummy. The wall behind it had a large hole in it with smaller ones around it.
Lathandi's voice filled the silence. “We'll need to adjust it a bit more before it's ready for battle.”
