FLAME MEPHIT
A nice day @splinterlands community! How's your day? I wish everyone is doing fine and having an opportunity to witness how good the world is. This content will uncover the digital phases on how to draw a monster character (Flame Mephit). This card is one of the best rebellion/core card because of its abilities including flying and backfire. A range rare card with a low mana cost of 2. Isn't it valuable? After discovering the card it inspires me to draw the character. Let's begin!
The Card Used as Inspiration and it's Lore
Card
Lore
Flame Mephits are lesser fire elementals conjured by mages to perform menial tasks, such as heating up dinner, lighting the fireplace, or destroying a forest.
The Process
All Steps in 6 Phases
Phase 1
SKETCH. It started by creating a fine sketch. I've adjusted the thickness of the pen to make sure a smooth and concrete result that serves a blueprint of the art.
Phase 2
FIRST COLOR APPLICATION. This stage I used the bucket feature to easily color the closed areas of the character's sketch. Plain colors are chosen that will serve as basis for the enhancement of the details later.
Phase 3
ENHANCEMENT OF THE CHARACTER. This stage was the beautification of the character's details especially the hair and skin. I've used the pen using a variety of lowered opacity with different colors of red, orange, yellow, brown, and white.
Phase 4
ENHANCEMENT OF THE GARMENT. This stage was the betterment of the garment or the costume of the character. I used the faded pen to improve lighting and variation. Bright colors are deeply emphasized. From green, yellow, to white.
Phase 5
BACKGROUND CREATION. I've selected the pink as the primary background then used the bandala-like divisions to create a doodle art style. I've used ranges of colors like blue, yellow, green, white to form my unique designs.
Phase 6
FINALIZATION. The finalization was the integration of all canvas. The character should be at the top of the background. Then the back of the character should be likely cleared but not totally. It should have a faded effect. So I've adjusted the eraser feature. Also, I've added a fiery effect the bottom of the canvas.
