SPIRIT OF THE FOREST

Amazing day @splinterlands community! How's your bright day? I hope everyone is enjoying with this blessed day. This moment I'll uncover the digital process on how to draw a character (Spirit of the Forest) from earth element. This card is one of the profound core cards from beta edition because of its high speed and incredible abilities when it's potentially maximized. Aside from being a monster it has three (3) range attacks. Isn't it amazing? Having that kind of card qualities inspires me to draw a cutie chibie character of this card.

From the safety of the Eldest Tree, deep in the shrouded magic of the Hungry Wood, the Spirit of the Forest lives and grows. She is one of the original creators of life in the Splinterlands, and little happens without her knowing about it. She can be summoned to battle by a skilled summoner, but she loves all her children as a good mother should.

The Process

All Steps in 5 Phases

Phase 1

THE INITIAL SKETCH. The first step should be making the fine skech of the chosen character. I wanted her to be a princess type of character. Thin and thick lines were used to sustain a better and definite simple layout.

Phase 2

THE FIRST PART. In this part I've color the enclosed part like the hair and the face of the character. Using the bucket feature it's easy for me to fill the colosed spaces. I've beautify the eyes, the details of the hair, and even the unique black lines on the face. It should stay on the range of green to emphasize the earth like hues.

Phase 3

THE SECOND PART. Well the time has come to color the garment of the character. It's a color between grey and green. That makes sense because of the needed reference. I've made the design and the selection of colors to the gown. It's should be one of a kind and everything is going fine using the different opacities to highlight some parts. Of course I didn't forget the crown. To be the best spirit of the forest princess!

Phase 4

THE BACKGROUND. This time I should select a color that could complement with the color of the character. That is pink and violet. I choose the violet to be dominant and the pink is only sprayed along the four cornerz where the plants are drawn to be like growing magic! Then I've made my own white border designs to see if it's elegant. It seems to be more beautiful! So i did it.

Phase 5

THE FINALIZATION. This time the integration happened. The background layer was combined to the layer where the character was drawn. In just a single click the result brings a magical optimistic ambience of a pretty artwork! Perfect!
