Splinterlands Art Contest
What's up pepz! Another competition is here again. I've obtain more efforts and improvement as time passes by. I really feel the gratitude because of the opportunity that @splinterlands has given to me. Having more days of practicing I came up to decide the fan art that I will be making. After searching from the internet I figured out that no one tried to highlight Brighton Bloom as their art masterpiece. Therefore, I'm definitely certain that it will be one of cutest arts ever on Splinterlands. Let's rock the canvas!

Lore
Brighton was an eccentric young man of Shimmer City, the capital of Khymeria. He was always seen as a strange character among the Khymian summoners. In the best times, his peers thought he was simply a distraction from their important studies. In the worst times, his fellow summoners doubted and belittled Brighton’s abilities. They were also put off by the way birds always landed on his hands and shoulders. After just two years studying at the Shimmer summoning school, Brighton decided to leave Khymeria. His loyalty was available to the highest bidder, and that is where the Dragons came in.
The Gloridax cared not for Brighton’s strange idiosyncrasies; what mattered to them was his skills as a summoner. Furthermore, in Gloridax eyes oneness with birds has long been considered a sign of divinity. Brighton’s attraction to birds was quickly noticed by Suam Khepri, Empress of the United Gloridax, who assigned a team of aerial sorcerers to properly train the young man. When Brighton emerged from that training, he could grant the power of flight to any monster under his summoning control.
The Process
A. Application of Circular Ruler
Using the circular ruler I draw two circles as guide for the entire art.
B. Rough sketch
I started to create the rough sketch that helped me for achieving the concrete guidelines.
C. Final sketch
I achieved the smooth sketch by lowering the opacity of the previous sketch and retracing it well.
D. Additional layer for hair
I add another layer for creating the hair. I used lines with sharp faded effect.
E. Application of skin color
This time I select the correct pigment for skin. Then I used airbrush to make visible shades. I want a natural effect of shades therefore I didn't overcolor the skin.
F. Application of hair color
On this phase, I apply dark color for the hair base. To make more delicate I used the pen with sharp faded effect but lowering the opacity.
G. Application of eye color
This is my favorite part. I intricately design the captivating eyes of the main character. From coloring the base, the pupil, up to the light reflections.
H. Application of garment color
I want to give a more profound color for the attire. So I just make the color more stronger by choosing the accurate hues.
I. Attribution enhancement
To express more creativity I need to emphasize the tiny details by designing it one by one. From the shades, the flowery theme, and even the mustache for masculinity.
J. Characterizing through background
We heard about the story of Brighton Bloom and he has attraction for birds. So we need to characterize him even more. I just draw two lovely birds as a wise concept.
K. Initiation of background
To have a more significant art it should be well-blended with the correct background. I wanted to depict a night sky! The only secret is using the airbrush pen.
L. Completion of background
On this phase I need to finalize the background by portraying a divine effect. By that reason, I color the two birds and painted using the airbrush for a brilliant result. I also added some stars and moon.
M. Finalization
The last part is giving a wind effect. Brighton Bloom's source of flight power. I added a cloudy effect from the bottom part of the canvas and finally sign for recognition.
