There's been a lot of griping lately in the Splinterlands community about the game moving away from web3 and instead being more like a web2 game. While I personally don't feel that way there are for sure some that do.
Let me be clear as of the last few months the team has been doing a great job. While personally I would rather see a little more focus on land here sooner then later I do realize that's only a very small part of the game with large programming overhead.
This new change however might get abused but we will have to see. The idea is that every time in a season that you advance in a league you'll now receive chests. This pretty much pushes multi accounts again since people are going to want to get as much as possible out of these chests. However I don't know what's in those chests as items could very well be soul bound and then that's actually not a bad thing and it can't really be gamed as the user would still have to pay a unlocking fee to get those cards on to the market.
The Tiers and Rewards
These last few seasons have been a little more brutal. I was getting into Diamond and almost Champs there for a while again but it seems like some of the player base has been returning because I've mainly been stuck back in gold and maybe pushing diamond by end of season.
That means I'd most likely get the 8 minor and 5 major but of course I'd really want to push to diamond as those ultimate chest can pack on hell of a punch if you're lucky.
These rewards for sure are a bit of a welcomed change that everyone should be happy with. What are you thoughts on this update?
