I hope everyone is having a great time in the Splinterlands. As part of the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Support Articles," I'm writing this blog post today about "Challenge Theme: Custom Sets." I will talk about how to rent excellent cards for Splinterlands using the most flexible and effective way from the custom renting option that is introduced for one-click renting for both those who want to rent full editions or who want to earn passive income by renting whole collections, including step-by-step guides and related tips. This will reduce the massive level of hard work for one-by-one renting troubles for both parties in the game. I hope the guidelines and these tips will be helpful for relatively new players in making a better deck.
Custom Sets are a cool new feature that has been added to Splinterlands that changes the game for players of all skill levels. Custom Sets can help you better handle your cards, rent out optimized sets, and get ready for new game modes, no matter how experienced you are or how new you are to the game. Custom Sets are unique groups of cards that you can put together and organize to use for certain plans or goals. You can order your cards into Custom Sets so that you don't have to read through all of them every time you want to build a deck. There is more room to rent sets, switch between plans, and get ready for different game types as new modes of games are coming into the game.
How to Make Custom Sets
It is easy and convenient to make and manage your own Custom Sets. I will show you from the very beginning to create a custom set step by steps and show you how you can list in the market for rent at a price that you can make passive income.
Here are the steps you need to take to begin:
- Go to the Splinterlands page
- Sign in to your game account.
- Go to the 'MARKET' menu
- Click on the bar that says 'Set Rentals'
- Make sure that the 'RENT' option is selected when you want to rent a set
- Make sure that the 'CREATE' option is selected when you want to create a set to rent
- Make sure that the 'MANAGE' option is selected when you want to handle
your set to rent or cancel renting
You can see there is currently only one custom set available for renting. You can create your own rental here and assign your price according to your custom card collection.
To create a custom set, you have to click the CREATE options, and there will be the interface showing which edition you want to create as the following figure.
You can see the existing sets from different editions. The creation options require all the cards of that set, which is not possible for many of us, including me. But the custom set gives us the option to build our own set. On the following page, after you click the create button for your custom sets, you will create your own set with your available cards.
You can select your cards and search your cards quickly from the left-side menu options. After selecting your desired cards press the CREATE button to the right side then the following interface will appear.
Here, you have chosen a name for your set as I have given the name 'Tanzil2024 Chaos Reward 1.' Now move to the next step by pressing the 'CONFIRM' button with the green colors.
And your Custome card set is created instantly. Then you can go to the MANAGE section, where your own Custom Card Set will appear to handle the following interface, which was empty previously.
You can see you now have three options with EDIT for editing your set for any changes in your cards. The LIST option to list your card set into the market. I will show you how to rent your set, though the listing cost will be 1 DEC, which is much cheaper than the usual or manual listing fees.
If you have any card that you have played recently, you can not list it, and you can instantly edit it and update it by removing that card from your custom set. You can make a NY combo with this option, as it is a custom set. As I have listed it for a high price to show you how it works, I will not rent them as I play frequently with many of these cards.
Now I have two options for delisting and viewing cards, which can be used for delisting my custom set and checking the cards that are included in the custom list.
I can not check my listed card set in the rent section, so I logged in with my other alt account to see what it looked like. You may not see it, as I will delist my custom set very soon after my article is published. The section now contains my custom set for rent at a cost of 500 DEC per day for 13 cards, as shown in the following picture.
In conclusion, I can say that Custom Sets are a powerful new addition to Splinterlands that can change the way you play. Custom Sets can help you save time, make passive income, or try out new tactics.
