HELLO EVERYONE, NICE TO MEET YOU GUYS, I HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING GOOD WITH YOUR JOURNEY.
I am theey and i recently started my journey in splinterlands.
Long story short i bought a bunch of DEC (10k) and decided to better dive into this game systems. I was struggling deciding what to do with those dec, if investing them in getting the right amount of Combat Power to climb the ranks or buying some card packs.
MY DEC MY CHOICES
Basically i found out you can keep your dec to be eligible for SPS airdrops (wich i managed to collect 2). Airdrops will last less than 100 days as of now.
There are different ways to get Airdrops points
- Owning cards that grant you CP (every CP is equal to 1 point)
- Holding DEC
- Holding Card Packs
- Joining DEC liquidity pool
- Holding land plots
- Holding champion points
- Holding Splintertalk tokens
- Holding Card Skins
- Holding totems
- Holding titles
I decided to hold them dec, as during the end of the season rental prices for cards are a bit high and there would have been no return in gaining the CP i miss for bronze 2.
SOMEHOW I MADE IT (?)
Soooooo I managed to get into bronze 2 tier without spending any dec and got a taste of dec rewards being so low in ranks.
With 100% Capture Rate and 25% boost from win streak my gains where close to 0.005 DEC for win.
How did I manage to get the CP i needed? I joined few communities searching for tips and a Kind Stranger (Thank you kind stranger) delegated me a card with 10000 CP.
HOW TO RISE FROM BRONZE 3 TO BRONZE 2 WITH BASIC CARDS
In Bronze 3 is very easy to climb as everyone is using Ghost (basic, not owned) cards to fight so knowing the strongest ones for me was the best way to climb to bronze 2. Those are my favourites
CURSED WINDEKU
This was basically my tank armed with thorns skill managed to get rid of melee based teams, 6 mana cost, not so bad IMHO.
LIFE SAPPER
armed with Life Leech, played in fourth position manages to get fat in hp before getting killed.
DRAKE OF ARNAC
This summoner allow me to play with the element i prefer, his shield bonus grant more durability to your build, but it may result weaker against magic damage teams.
Very good paired with SCAVO HIRELING (Neutral, 3 mana) as it recharges shields.
LOW MANA POOL = LOW MANA CARDS.
I found myself easily winning games when my monster pool was bigger than my enemy one, especialli with loe mana pool where someone use to play 2 to 3 cards build.
HOW I AM PLANNING TO PLAY THIS GAME
This game gives me a strong Nostalgic feeling from when i used to play MTG. I loved opening Packs.
so for now i invested 10$ in the spellbook to unlock quests and seasonal rewards and i bought 15$ worth of dec to hold for sps airdrop. few hours into the next season it was useless to rent cards as someone delegated me some CP, enough to get to bronze 2 and have 2 more chest as seasonal reward.
HOW AM I PLANNING TO SUSTAIN ECONOMICALLY THIS TCG
Back in the days i used to buy 2 packs of MTG a month (10 dollars) and used to trade cards i did not need so i don't want to put more than 10 (maybe 20 now that i'm a bit grown) and hold some packs till it will be useful (cause I LOVE OPENING PACKS)
GETTING BUCK WITH OTHER GAMES
Besides that, i play Rising Star wich is a game based on HIVE chain that grants me some bucks just clicking buttons and waiting for quest to get done (the beginning is a bit low but being consistent grant you thed coins needed to get some cards maybe :D
