Splinterlands social media challenge: Let's explore some water monsters

in #hive-133234 months ago

Hello Splinterfans. This time I'll be talking about some monsters of the water element. I have used these cards in battle and I have come to love them. So let's get into it.

The first is the Diemonshark. This is one of my favorite cards. It has so many juicy attributes. First of all, it is a starter card. It has a mana cost of 8. That is a lot, but I say it is worth it.

This card is suitable for the tank position for two reason. The first reason is that it is a melee attack card. It is capable of 2 melee attacks. This means that it best attacks from close range, so it has to be in front. The second reason is that it has a good amount of armor. It has an armor value of 6. So the enemy would have to attack multiple time before depleting that armor and touching its life.

In addition to this, it has a very good health of 7. So this gives it more chances of surviving attacks for longer, making it even more perfect for the tank position.

To add icing to the cake, it has the trample ability at level one. With this ability, whenever it kills an enemy monster with a melee attack, it will perform another melee attack on another monster of your enemy's team. Isn't that cool?

Furthermore, from level 4, Diemonshark also gets the enrage ability which enables it to get an extra 50% speed and melee attack when it's not at optimal health. From level 7, it adds the retaliate ability, implying that when hit with a melee attack, there's a 50% chance it will attack the monster that attacked it.

I won't forget to mention it's speed. It has an impressive speed (4) added to it's other attributes.
So far, you can see how cool Diemonshark is.

The next is monster is the flying squid. This is another starter card. It is a melee attack card so it is suitable for the front row as it has to attack from close range.

However, the flying squid does not have armor, and that could be a disadvantage when it occupies the front row in battle. It has a very impressive health of 8, but then, it can be easily depleted as there is no armor available.

This card has a nice speed (3), and I think that's a plus. One thing I like about the flying squid is that it has the reach ability, enabling it to launch melee attacks from the second position.

From level three, it has the blind ability. With this ability, there's a 15% higher chance that the enemy would miss their target when they launch a ranged and melee attack.

By level 10, this monster gets the backfire ability, allowing it to give a double melee damage to the enemy if the enemy monster misses during their attack.

Another cool thing is that at the highest level, its health increases to 10 and the speed increases to 5.

The last monster is the Kulu Swimhunter. It is also a water monster. It carries out range attacks so it fits in the back row during battle, to enable it attack from a distance. At level 1, the health is 6 and the speed is 2 which are okay to me.

By level 10, the health increases to 10 and the speed increases to 5.

This card has no shield, making it vulnerable, and it could be easily killed off in battle. It also has no ability.

That's it. These are some of the cool monsters of the water element, and there are other cool ones. I do hope you enjoyed reading.
