Namaste to all the warriors of Splinterlands!🙏
This is my entry to the Splinterlands social media challenge For this week's challenge, I have chosen a Standard: no modification ruleset based battle in which I will once again show you the effectiveness of my favorite strategy in a completely different situation than the one we discussed recently.
So, the total mana cap for this battle was 28, including the summoner's mana cost as you all know!
Summoner | details |
---|---|
Kelya Frendul a summoner of the Water element whose mana cost was 4. This Summoner would provide +1 Armour and +1 Speed to 2 all-friendly monsters. This is a great level 1 water summoner especially when you have a medium to low mana cap. | |
Rule set (Standard: no modification) | Meaning |
---|---|
As its name suggests, this ruleset made no modifications to the battle. |
Monsters on the battlefield
1st position (Anasth Soothsayer) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is 6, this is a Magic attack monster having Cleanse Ability and 6 health. I placed it in first place so that it could protect the second-position card. |
2nd position (Pallus) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is 8 it is a melee attack monster. Its abilities are Flying and Reach. With flying ability it has 25% bonus chances of evading melee or ranged attacks from cards who do not have Flying ability and with Reach ability it maky attack from the second position on the team. |
3rd position (Venka the Vile) | Ability |
---|---|
It is also a melee attack monster and its abilities are Charge and Piercing. With Charge, this card may use melee attacks from any position to target the enemy's first position card AND with Piercing ability, if melee or ranged attack damage is more than the target's armour, the reminder will damage the target's health. |
4th position (Merdaali Guardian) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is only 3, is has a Tank Heal Ability which restores the third of max health to the card in the first position every round. It is really a great healer at a very low mana cost. |
I created my team by using all my mana caps with these monsters.
Now I will take you to the battlefield!
Due to the low mana cost the strategy is straightforward. I have placed 2 main attackers (Pallus and Venka the Vile) at 2nd and 3rd positions. Next to them, there is a card (Anasth Soothsayer) in the first position for defending and protecting from initial attacks, and a card in the fourth position for protection and healing.
Round 1 (Before the battle starts)
This screenshot is just before the one-on-one battle started when all monsters got Summoner's powers, after which now it was the turn of the monsters to fight. By the way, my team is on the left this time. I don't why but this happens sometimes.
End of Round 1
By the end of the first round, my first 3 cards were still on the battlefield without any major changes having lost their armor and the first card having lost its 3 health as well. This damage may sound like a lot, but the thing to be noted here is that the armour of my main Attacker cards is gone not because of being attacked but because of the opponent's Thorns ability. So technically as per my strategy, my first card took all the attacks on himself while my main attackers attacked the enemy.
Round 2 (Begins)
Here, at the beginning of the second round, my main attack card knocked out the opponent in one hit. Due to his 4 melee power, his single attack took 4 health of the opponent. This was the main reason why I positioned these 2 cards in the safe zone.
Round 2 (Continues)
After that, my first position card was knocked out in the second round itself. But before his killing, he protected my main cards well, due to which, despite being less in number, I had the upper hand in the battle because my card's attacking powers were brilliant.
Round 3 (Begins)
After this, once again at the beginning of the third round, both my attackers attacked one after the other and knocked out another card of the opponent. They were also getting some damage from time to time but I have a healer for that only. The opponent's healer is not proving to be that effective here because the main thing is that the attacking power of my cards is comparatively many times higher than the opponent's.
Round 5
Then in the fifth round, one of my attackers was martyred by knocking out one more card of the enemy. At this time, if we look at the attackable cards on the battlefield, then both of us have only one card each and accordingly, I am dominant over the enemy because the attacking power of my card is so good. And then even before the end of the fifth round, My Healer also gave +2 health to my Attaker card, after which I am standing firmly in my place unless something untoward happens.
What do you think will be the outcome of this war?
According to my strategy and understanding, will victory be mine or will some secret power of the opponent change the course of the battle here?
There may be many more questions for which the comment section is open. But if your excitement is about the outcome of this battle, then here is the link of my battle, click on it and enjoy it with popcorn. ;)
