Namaste to all the warriors of Splinterlands!🙏
This is my entry to the Splinterlands social media challenge! For this week's challenge, I've chosen a standard ruleset-based battle with no modifications, where you'll see my weaker looking team go head-to-head with the opponent in this battle.
So, the total mana cap for this battle was 34, including the summoner's mana cost as you all know!
Summoner | details |
---|---|
Tarsa a summoner of the Fire Element whose mana cost was 4. This Summoner would provide +1 Melee attack and +1 Health to all-friendly monsters. This is a very good level 1 fire summoner especially when you have a medium to low mana cap. | |
Rule set (Standard: no modification) | Meaning |
---|---|
As its name suggests, this ruleset made no modifications to the battle. |
Monsters on the battlefield
1st position (Torch Myrmidon) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is 8, having Flank and Close range Ability. If this card is in the first position at the battle, the card in the second position gains reach with the Flank Ability and with the Close Range Ability this card can perform ranged attacks from the first position. |
2nd position (Pallus) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is 8 it is a melee attack monster. Its abilities are Flying and Reach. With the Flying ability it has 25% bonus chances of evading melee or ranged attacks from cards who do not have the Flying ability and with the Reach ability it may attack from the second position on the team. |
3rd position (Venka the Vile) | Ability |
---|---|
It is also a melee attack monster and its abilities are Charge and Piercing. With Charge, this card may use melee attacks from any position to target the enemy's first position card AND with Piercing ability, if melee or ranged attack damage is more than the target's armour, the reminder will damage the target's health. |
4th position (Gobson Bomber) | Ability |
---|---|
Mana cost of this monster is 7, it has Recharge and Camouflage Ability, with recharge this card attack every other round but does 3X damage and with Camouflage this card can not be directly targeted for attacks unless it is in the first position. |
I created my team by using all my mana caps with these monsters.
Now I will take you to the battlefield!
This is how the battlefield looked after all the monsters received their summoner powers. I put Torch Myrmidon in the first place because it had the most health and shields followed by Pallus and Venka in second and third place, these are the main attackers in my team and finally at last position another new attacker Gobson Bomber that I'm using for the first time today.
Round 1 (somewhere in the middle)
The flash of explosion you see here is caused by both of my main attack cards hitting the enemy one after the other, causing my opponent's first-place card to be knocked out in the middle of the first round. Although my attackers suffer some damage due to the opponent card's thorn ability, it is minor compared to the damage to the opponent.
Round 2
This is the beginning of the second round where my defender card played its role and died. Although, it would have been great for me if it had stayed longer in this round. But my opponent also has good, fast and more number of cards, making it difficult for my team to survive for more rounds. Let's see what happens next!
End of Round 2
Here comes my sleeping beauty Gobson Bomber. In the first round, it was charging itself, as soon as its turn came in the second round, it showed its ability and knocked out the enemy card by eliminating its 6 health in a single attack. After which we both have an equal number of cards on the battlefield.
However, my Gobson Bomber is going to be charged in the next round and one of my cards has only one health left.
What do you think, who will win this battle?
Most of you can probably guess the outcome of this battle by looking at the stats of the remaining cards, but for those like me who are new to the game, this is something to learn and pay attention to because these things will take you ahead in this game as a better player. I can show you the result of the battle by adding 2-3 more slides here but you will get better learning and fun only by watching this battle. So save your excitement for a little longer and enjoy this battle live! 😎
Lesson
Placement of cards is an essential task. No matter how good your cards are, their correct placement is crucial. Never put your most dangerous cards at the forefront because they may be knocked out of the game before their turn comes in the initial attacks.
Sometimes even cards that look ordinary like Gobson Bomber are capable of making deadly attacks. It all depends on their abilities and powers, so complete and correct knowledge of stats can also help you win the battles.
