It's been a long time I played the SPlinterlands game. It's saturday, and I decided to catch some fun with the game. It's amazing to see the level of aestheic development in the game. The gameplay UI is appealing.
I wouldn't know if I actually forgot how to play because I lost about batttles at a stretch. I figured maybe I didn't have some compelling cards. I resorted to rending two summoner characters. Conqueror Jacek (Fire) and Underboss Fabino (Earth) monsters were my favourite picks.
After about 5 failed battles, I decided to engage Underboss Fabino since, it's a known tool in my history of Splinterlands' battle victories. Thanks to the higher manna cap of 33 which allowed me to get flexible with the choice of my monster units. It was a "Bash it!" fight which was exciting and action-packed centered around the Grund monster.
When Fabino’s Strategy Meets Grund’s Power"
The need for progress often underlined by overcoming battles requires th fusion of strategy and power. Strategy, the art of planning and execution, becomes transformative when wielded alongside power—the capacity to influence and achieve. Alone, power risks recklessness, while strategy without power falters in execution. Together, they create a synergy capable of overcoming challenges, driving innovation, and achieving seemingly impossible goals. While I'm relaying my experience while playing Splitnerlands game, don't let the lesson slip.
Grund, one of my favourite Splinterlands characters, hails from the lowlands of Praetoria, where he developed a deep affection for the land and its inhabitants. Introduced to the art of battle as a hatchling, he discovered an old, rusting sword in the swamp during his youth, which became an extension of himself. Under the mentorship of Bera Dallin in New Everitt, Grund mastered the warhammer, eventually dual-wielding them due to his immense strength. A beloved figure among Praetorians, Grund upholds strong ideals of honor and justice. Upon learning of the Chaos Legion invasion, he took up his hammers to defend his homeland.
His double strike allows it to attack twice each round, effectively doubling his damage output. This makes it a better choice for an agressive battle that requires combating strength. Maximizing the <b.inspire ability of the Underboss Fabino summoner makes it a mor fun battle.
At a higher level, Grund possessed the Trample ability which enables him to attack another enemy if he defeats his target, potentially dealing damage to multiple foes in a single turn. The Cripple ability is also added to reduce the maximum health of the target each time Grund hits, weakening opponents over time. These abilities make Grund a formidable presence on the battlefield, capable of delivering significant damage and disrupting enemy strategies.
The Battle
This battle was a 33 manna cap battle. Each team fielded Six (6) monster units to combat.
My Team: Underboss Fabino (summoner), Grund, Venari Knifer, Goblin Psychic, Regal Peryton, and Mycelic Morphoid.
Enemy Team: Thaddius Brood, Cursed Windeku, Disintegrator, Dhampir Stalker, Silent Sha-vi, Life Sapper, and Carrion Shade.

it was beautiful to win the battle with 140 Glint points. That is the highest I have earned in a single combat. I also had some fractions of SPS added to the rewards
The legend - Grund is a warrior and as a protector, a champion of the land and people of Praetoria. The hammerbearer for his people. It was an aggressive playstyle which grund took the centre stage with heavy offensive strikes with his brute force.
The Winning Strategy
Tagging this post "when Fabino’s strategy meets Grund’s power" was deliberate. In the Splinterlands game, battles are often won through a perfect blend of strategy and brute force. When Underboss Fabino steps into the fray, his ability to boost melee attacks transforms powerhouses like Grund into unstoppable forces. With Fabino’s +2 melee enhancement, Grund’s relentless Double Strike becomes a devastating weapon, capable of turning the tide in any battle. The application of the combo of strategy and power cannot be be overstated. As we end, don't just be strategic, feed in the needed power to be able to achieve your dreams.
