Greetings to all, we have just completed a recent brawl for PIZZA 2 a few hours ago and we are now taking a breather before we start filling up the various frays for the next brawl. I will be sharing what happened in the brawl that we've just completed to show on the lineup and strategies that were used in the brawl. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts and we need more people to fill up those empty frays!
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good because now that I play in modern, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. Started this not too long ago and I am still trying to understand more on the Rebellion cards. Without further ado, let's get started and see how the brawl went.
Brawl 1

Remarks | |
---|---|
Selection: | Little League, Up Close and Personal and also Amplify. If you can see, essentially we are using exactly the same cards however there is a difference in how we arrange. For me I put Antoid at the front while my opponent put Antoid at the back. |
Outcome: | Lose. Not good, starting the brawl with a loss is never a good sign. Opponent did the right placement, Antoid at the end will help to guard against any form of sneak from the back and hence was a wiser choice than me putting Xenith Monk at the back which just serve as a meat shield. |
Brawl 2

Remarks | |
---|---|
Selection: | Up close and personal, heavy hitter and corrosive ward. Planted in all my water Splinter with melee and within the required mana. Opponent only fielded 2 cards, let's see how each side fare with this. |
Outcome: | Win! My lineup with more cards were more effective in doing damage to my opponent and subsequently take them out to land the victory. Opponent had too much spent on loading up 2 cards which didn't allow them to maximize. |
Brawl 3

Remarks | |
---|---|
Selection: | Corrosive Fog, Keep Your Distance and Weak Magic. Since there is weak magic, then let's do water splinter and with that I planted my favourite double martyr combo and then let Oshannus slowly dispose everyone. |
Outcome: | Win! While magic could be the thing for earth splinter but in a weakened mode, the advantage swing back to water and Oshannus is a great option to fend off these magic attackers. Strong win! |
Brawl 4

Remarks | |
---|---|
Selection: | Return Fire, Fury and Resurrect. So for me I planted the 2 range martyr hoping to land some returned fire to detonate them then susbequently use a powered up Quora to take the win. |
Outcome: | Win! I am surprised that my opponent only fielded one card. While Oshannus is strong, one card only is dangerous. Quora came up on top and secured the victory for my side. |
Brawl 5

Remarks | |
---|---|
Selection: | Heavy Hitters, Blast and Melee Mayhem. Because of melee mayhem and blast, I planted 2 reflection shield and also use as big a damage lineup as I can while keeping Iziar and Spirit Hoarder as the regenerative back tank. |
Outcome: | Win! My cards fielded were all hard hitting and my opponent cannot handle them, nice strikes from all the melee cards on my side. |
Guild Final Tally
I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and managed to win 4 out of 5 of them . There is also a bonus 4 wins added to the tally because of poorer participation from other guilds. The match that I lost was a mirror match and my opponent did a better placement than I did and won me in that match.
After climbing up to position 3 in the last brawl, this week we dropped back down to position 4. We have also manage to cross the 50+ wins and now we have secured 59 wins. While this is a good achievement by the guild, opponents are going higher and clocking wins in the range of 75+ which is crazy. We just gotta continue winning and getting more people into the guild to win those game. Go PIZZA 2!
Closing
We are still in the hunt for players who can help us fill up multiple frays, if you have a shiny collection and able to commit to the brawls, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild. We are getting better in our participation already and getting better brawl rewards. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
See you at the next brawl report!
