Background
Really enjoying writing on these battles and sharing with the community on my battles and also looking at the various post shared by the community. It helps each and everyone of us to better our gameplay

Thoughts on Deeplurker
Deeplurker, one of the cards that I am looking to develop. A common water splinter but heavy potentials.

The opportunity at level 1 already gives an edge over many other cards. As level progresses, level 2 gains an extra speed to speed 3 which brings it above notch to many others in terms of speed and more significantly at level 4 where it gains the 4th attack which makes it a very scary card to handle.

Level 6 brings about poison and subsequently demoralise at level 10. These abilities add icing to the cake of an already strong card, taking down big opponents with poison and suppressing any additional melee attack boost to last longer in battle. Certainly, levelling up this card is not a bad choice.

Alrite people, let's see what Deeplurker can do for us in battle!

Rules
Rise of Commons
Mana Limit: 21

Lineup

  • Summoner - Kelya
Reason of choice: My go to summoner for Water Splinter. Extra speed and one extra armour to cushion melee/range impact.
  • Position 1 - Serpent of Eld
Reason of choice: Slippery serpent with high melee attack, shield and dodge. All top qualities for tank, high sustainability and have ability to take out opponent tank.
  • Position 2 - Albatross
Reason of choice: Was deciding between Albatross and Hardy Stonefish but end up choosing Albatross to have more dodging even without the melee attack for backline folks (Ice Pixie and Deeplurker) to do more work.
  • Position 3 - Creeping Ooze
Reason of choice: Mr Gooey whom slows everyone down by 1 speed to gain head start, let backline folks do more work and to support Serpent of Eld to dodge better.

  • Position 4 - Ice Axie
Reason of choice: Lightweight and 99% of the time in my water splinter lineup. Fast and most of the time able to help support front line tank to bring down opponent tanks.

  • Position 5 - Deeplurker
Reason of choice: Mr lurker, hides in the backline, provide cover to the front and taking out problematic stuff in opponent lineup such as healers, snipers or armour repair crew.

Opponent Lineup

  • Summoner - Kelya
  • Position 1 - Serpent of Eld
  • Position 2 - Hardy Stonefish
  • Position 3 - Ice Pixie
  • Position 4 - Merdaali Guardian
  • Position 5 - Kulu Swimhunter

Prediction before pressing rumble
Showdown between water splinters with similar lineups. My objective was to take down everything using Deeplurker whilst opponent was trying to outlast me with a healer to sustain the Serpent and using swimhuter to wear me out. Let's see my strategy is better or his.

Let's get ready to rumble
Round 1, My Serpent took out the armour of my opponent's Serpent and thankfully my Serpent dodge his Serpents attack, while the rest did what they suppose to do.

Round 2, Opponent tank hanging by a thin thread even with healing from Merdaali Guardian. If Deeplurker manage to take the hit, opponent's Serpent would have been history.

Round 3, Opponent tank down, floodgates opponent. Ice Pixie doing work and zapping off all the 1 HP folks.

Subsequent rounds, opponent Ice Pixie down, healer taken down by Deeplurker and finally the Kulu Swimhunter just stood there like a sitting duck to be taken out by Deeplurker.

After Thoughts
Deeplurker might not have given its full potential in the match with the miss on Serpent on Eld on round 2, but did good by doing work on key cards in opponent line up. Still a worthy inclusion in the lineup.

In other kind of matches such as with earth splinter which is jammed pack with healers and magic spammers or fire splinters with the sneak lineup which pounces on all backline, Deeplurker still serve as a vaiable option to take all these out and overturn the game in your favour.

A very key inclusion to any water splinter lineup unless it is a low mana game.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading my sharing on Deeplurker! I would really appreciate it if you liked and/or commented to let me know what are you thoughts.

Till my next battle sharing, take care, stay safe and happy battling!
