We have reached the end of another section in Splinterlands, this new system was very good for me due to the fact that I was able to rent large amounts of CP (Collection Power) for the desired league, I am still finishing the post of the continuation of Alpha/Promo Cards for cost/benefit today [Part 1] so as soon as possible I finish the conclusion and public in the community.
Seasonal Rewards
The rewards weren't as good as my expectations, although the DEC spent on rentals managed to be returned and still earned the legendary Venator Kinjo.
Regarding the announcement about the update of the rewards and the new rule that the rental is now a minimum of 2 days, it may no longer be possible to rent 1 team per day as it was working.
My idea is that I will rent 2 teams, as an example I use a lot of water and land, although I still don't know how it will work in terms of new daily focus options I would rent these two right away, so risking the chance of them one of the two being selected I will spend my ECR to get as many chests as possible, while the days that are not possible I will only use up to 75% of the ECR and leave it for the next day.
Highlights: Venator Kinjo, Merdhampir Golden Foil, Lava Launcher, Tide Biter, Revealer, and Uraeus
Altogether there are 183 chests where almost half earned me Venari Heatsmith and Gargoya Lion, I'm thinking about buying the rest that is missing and increasing it to the maximum level just to play a little, although I will have to increase my league to be able to use it.
Status in current league
As we all know the first few days you have the highest chance of falling into battles with people with much higher collection power than yours, and they also want to get back to their leagues as soon as possible and secure their rewards as soon as possible.
I decided that at first I would forget about the daily focus on the first two days, and focus on raising my rating without losing too much ECR so that when I actually went to request the chests I wouldn't have it below 50%, with that I took my two compositions already reported in this post and started playing in a row with that goal in mind.
For games with total freedom of magic composition I used the well-known combo Alric + Djinn
While when I'm banned by any of the rules or ban on a certain splinter, my preferred composition is earth element with Mylor Crowling, I prefer it even more with Queen Micelya in the team but I don't have this card and its rent price was too high to rent for these occasions, so I tried to get by without the shield anyway, the focus when using this strategy in minor leagues is any monster with armor and/or high health even if it doesn't have attack or is out of your position.
An interesting fact to note is that the Hill Giant with a cost of only 3 mana manages to reach 8 maximum health at level 5, and his card is easily found at higher levels at a low price to rent.
Even with that I couldn't get more than a few Wins Streaks and lost 2 or 3 in a row, today was so hard it seemed like everyone had Yodin and gold foil cards were mandatory.
I didn't want to spend a lot of ECR, and I still had some BIDs on Peakmonsters to fill and my composition to be complete, so I decided to take a break and go write this post and continue my adventure tomorrow , when half of the opponents get caught for my cards.
Gold or Silver League?
With the reports of some players who have remained in the silver league, it seems to me that it is being inappropriate for those who rent the CP to stay there, since for you to get a good amount of ECR you would have to be in Silver I or Gold III to continue paying the cost in DEC and hoping the good God bless you with some Chaos Legion pack or a nice bonus in DEC.
So I'm going to advance this season to Gold II and try to stick with it, since it's no use getting all that collection power but not guaranteeing to earn at least 5 chests per daily focus.
Interestingly, I researched more about how much it would be for this feat, and the difference between Silver I and Gold III in terms of cost is almost equal, of course I could have joined lower priced cards like a 50 DEC and a 20 DEC to lower the price, but these cards are more expensive than the higher level ones and are in smaller quantities as it is normal for your rent to cover just a little CP.
