A good game is enjoyable and rewarding. Nowadays I do not feel neither of these in Splinterlands. Maybe because of the many bots, but recently it became very hard to win, and the lack (or the very little amount) of rewards does not help either.
I feel progress in a good game. Nowadays I feel stumbling in one place (or running in circles) in Splinterlands. Currently I am barely (in the lower end of) the Bronze I League. I reached it multiple times, but I fell back to Bronze II, so it is very hard to be in the Bronze I League. And despite playing for many hours, I have not earned any focus chests in the previous few days. Today I earned one focus chest. And today I also played Splinterlands for hours. Basically in the whole morning, and a little bit even in the afternoon too. I earned five season chests so far in this season.
I played 964 battles in this season so far. I won 486 battles, so my current win rate is 50.41%. My current rank is 95 097, so currently I am in the top 100 000 players in the Bronze League.
I will play at least 1000 battles in the current season, and then probably I will take a break again from playing Splinterlands, and then I look for a more encouraging and more rewarding game or activity.
Why should I spend many hours on something every day, if it is not rewarding?
This is really painful to write, because Splinterlands was one of my favorite games a few years ago. I started playing it on 2018.12.30.
I loved to play Splinterlands in that time. Mostly in 2019. It gave the feeling of progress, and it was not frustratingly hard. At least it was not this frustrating. Nowadays playing Splinterlands feels literally like time wasting. Even most of the free-to-play games are more rewarding. Not monetarily, but in the game.
Even the previously promised achievements could make the players feel the progress in the game. It was written in the game for countless months that the achievements are coming soon, but somehow I do not see it in the game nowadays.
Good luck and have fun to those, who keep playing Splinterlands.
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
