My Today's Splinterlands Battle Challenge Blog
Gold League Division Battle Ranked Challenge
I'm using Obsidian from the Earth element, while my opponent Macnapat29 is using a Death Summoner that is only level 2. I could imagine that I have an advantage with my summoner because I'm level 6, and I can summon higher-level cards than him. However, I did not underestimate his abilities, so let's see if I can manage to survive against his strategy as opposed to mine.
On of the rules in this challenge's is rebirth, which basically means that if your monster dies in a battle, it will come back to life. The second rule is to keep your distance, which is nasty because it means that you can only use ranged weapons and magic on the battle field. Additionally, the anticipated Battle Mage Secrets Challenge is the Odd Ones Out, which makes it tougher because some monsters are banned and cannot be used when your monster card's mana cost is odd. Additionally, there are only 4 different types of elements available for utilization, and there is a significant issue with mana because there are only 16. It could be challenging to play with such a cheap mana cost fight if you don't own or rent many cards.
Thadious Brood Versus Obsidian
Early Match up
My opponent is utilizing Venari Marksrat as a tank, Triage from Spirit Hoarder, Leech attack from Life Sapper, and Soul Strangler with a 2-damage range attack as his damage card on the rear line. On the other hand, My strategy is to use Venari Marksrat, a smart tank, Ooze to slow down my opponent's speed, Regal Peryton as my damager, and Djinn Biljka as support. This weakens the opponent by 1 health points, and it has void magic with only 2 health and camouflage to thwart sneak attacks.
In the first round of the battle, I was able to defeat my opponent's Venari Marksrat, which caused the rebirth to activate, increasing the Life Sapper's health and damage. In the current round, I was able to terminate it and in my opponent ends Life Sapper Sapper's stats increase. My opponent also had more damage to crush my Venari Marksrat, and I was able to raise the status of my Regal Peryton. However, I've recently noticed that my Monster is much more stronger because he only use mostly level 1 cards compare to my i was able to use level 3 and 4 cards on the battle field.
Mid-Game Encounter
With 4 magic damage, 8 speed, and 7 life, Regal Peryton is becoming a stronger card in this game in the midst of the battle. With the 8 speed, it was becoming an even more powerful card, giving my opponent a clear opportunity to miss an attack when attacking from range physical attacks. Spirit Hoarder does not have the same effect as my Regal Peryton, and the Triage power is ineffective because I do not have sneak attackers deployed on the field. I was able to completely dominate the first and second rounds of this battle by focusing on a straightforward assault and slowing down my opponent. I truly enjoy watching my approach.
End Game
As the battle came to a close, I managed to outwit my opponent. He had no answer for my Regal Peryton Damage and Flying ability. Soul Stranger is now useless because it has only one health point and one speed, and Soul Strangler is useless when on the first position because it cannot attack and because of the strong debuff that my Ozzed applied he was so vulnerable, which made my opponent slower. The Rebirth ability is simply present to lengthen the game, but in actuality, my opponent is in bad shape to the tactics I used un this battle. Great Game and still a Good Match.
I just opened my three gold chest after celebrating my winning game and found these 12 legendary potion charges. I hope I can cover my costs for rentals for the upcoming season and daily focus rewards despite the lack of cards and low-value SPs on this.
