A good son always returns to home 😄, I postponed my return to Hive several times, but I'm finally back. This new collection is incredible, it practically changed the entire modern format. I'm struggling to adapt to these changes, but I'm loving the game, it's much more dynamic with these choices when revealing the team 😍. Without further ado, let's move on to Battle Mage Secrets, this time the rule will be Odd Ones Out, I chose a match from the Silver League in the modern format. Let's go.
🌟 ODD ONES OUT 🌟
Rule | Description |
---|---|
ODD ONES OUT | Only Monster with odd mana costs may be used in battles. |
Odd Ones Out squeezes your card options making your main combos and moves rethought, luckily it does not interfere with the effects and attributes of the cards capable of being played.
I couldn't think of a very strong move for this rule even after years of playing Splinterlands 😂, as it is just a rule that changes your options, as there is no interference with the skills and base mechanics of the game, I always try to put together a standard team balancing attack, defense and supports with the cards I have at my disposal.
As this rule does not directly affect skills, I am free to choose the skills I like most, such as Double Strike, Blast, Protect, Poison and Void Armor and Bloodlust, the last one can define the game if I manage to accumulate two or more victims 😂, and I always run away from the damn Scattershot ability.
⚔️ My Team ⚔️
Card | LineUP |
---|---|
Summoner : I almost didn't use this summoner, I started to make room for it in my lineups when I returned to the game, and I'm not regretting it, its shield debuff is great, and the ability to revive an ally is incredible in units with a lot of shield, Dodge I don't like to count, but it has its moments of glory 😂. | |
Tank : Good damage and very resistant to magic, it will be an excellent target for the Astral Entity's resurrect ability, I usually put it as an off-tank. | |
Off-Tank: It will be a nice and cheap punching bag, but it can surprise you by dodging several attacks thanks to its flying ability and the summoner's bonus. | |
DPS: Reasonable damage and low cost, it can gain a lot of value with its life leech. | |
DPS : This unit is making its debut in my posts, the Ambush skill is one of the most creative in this new collection, and somehow it always seems to poison the target in Ambush 😂, not the best option for the Equalizer rule. | |
DPS: Massive damage and still takes 1 HP from all enemy units, its only problem is the mana cost, but with this power it should be practically OTK on several units. | |
Suport: Simple and strong ranged damage, plus a low mana cost, will gain a lot of value thanks to the Equalizer rule. |
🤜The Battle 🤛
Analyzing the match: We both chose the same summoner, my opponent balanced the mana cost of his units more, even with a unit just as a meat shield I still have more damage on the table, at least in the first turn since his off tank only attacks in the next turn, my best DPS is very well protected and should only be attacked at the end, giving me a good advantage until the end of the match.
Round 1 - I managed to poison the opponent's tank with Ambush, luckily my tank dodged the ambush 🤣, then my powerful Barashkukor blew up the opponent's tank which was resurrected shortly after, luckily the next to attack was Life Sapper which has magic damage easily passing through the target's armor, the round ends without any more deaths.
Round 2 - Right at the start, my tank is knocked out but revived by my summoner, then Barashkukor annihilates another unit, almost at the end my tank can't resist and leaves the match.
Round 3 - Barashkukor is truly a brute monster, it knocked out another opposing unit, at the end of the round my vulture and the opponent's Chaos Jailer both have just 1 HP, but I have a good advantage, as I still have a lot of damage on the table.
Round 4 - Right at the start, my vulture dies from the poison, then Barashkukor takes another opponent's unit out of the game, and the round ends with me with a huge advantage.
Round 5 - Barashkukor as always takes another unit out of the game, I think It's killed all my opponent's cards, with this elimination the victory is mine, because the opponent's last monster can't attack from the first position.
Round 6 - Finally, victory has come, Barashkukor again lands a powerful blow and grants me victory.
🎊 Conclusion 🎊
It was a very well controlled match by my line-up, placing units with low HP and then placing one that guaranteed a good increase in this attribute was a good move, Chaos Jailer's ambush poisoned and helped take out an opposing unit early in the game, Carrion Shade was very interesting with 8HP + Fly + Dodge, it held the front line well when the tank fell, but the highlight was Barashkukor, it literally obliterated almost all of my opponent's units, it's an extremely strong and simple card to use, it's certainly already among my favorites in this collection.
Odd Ones Out is far from being one of my favorite rules, I always face it in a simple way, analyzing the options I have left. It's funny that sometimes I spend a lot of time looking for certain cards and forget that they're not present in the game, because they're even numbers 🤣.
That's it for now guys, see you next time.
