Blessed day creative friends of Hive Arte, it is a pleasure to share with you one more of my drawing practices. This time I am going to show you what I was doing over the weekend. It is about some drawings of mandalas.
Mandalas have always caught my attention, in fact, I have knitted several madalas and dream catchers, I have even colored books of mandalas as a relaxing activity, however, I have never drawn them from scratch before. That's why I am glad to add among my drawing practices the making of mandalas.
I started my first attempts with ruler and compass, as I have seen several videos where they work in this way, however, I must confess that I am not good with geometry, I got very stressed with the use of the compass so I preferred to work freehand and intuitively. Since I am supposed to do all these practices as a relaxation activity and not stress.
I didn't like the blue mandala very much, since I used a slightly thick marker, it didn't allow me to draw the patterns inside each petal more clearly. For the black mandala I decided to use a marker for the border and a very fine pen for the center of each petal, which allowed me to get a better result, in my opinion.
For sure I will continue practicing this style of drawing much more because it is a technique that I like very much and I want to improve more and more. For now I say goodbye wishing you a nice week. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
