Feliz y bendecido viernes amigos creativos de Hive Arte, me complace mucho volver a saludarles y compartirles mi más reciente dibujo. En esta oportunidad se trata de un nicho que no había intentado antes, pero que siempre me ha llamado la atención y me gusta mucho admirar. Les hablo del arte africano.

Happy and blessed Friday creative friends of Hive Arte, I am very pleased to greet you again and share with you my latest drawing. This time it is about a niche that I had not tried before, but that has always caught my attention and I really like to admire. I am talking about African art.

Les confieso que tengo muy escaso conocimiento sobre la cultura africana, pero gracias a Hive he tenido la oportunidad de conocer y hacer amistad con varias mujeres africanas, específicamente de Nigeria y admiro mucho lo amable, talentosas y hermosas que son estas mujeres. Tal es el caso de mis compañeras de la comunidad NeedleWorkMonday quienes cada semana nos comparten su talento y habilidades en la costura y el crochet.Entre ellas puedo nombrar a @monica-ene, @bimpcy, @glorydee, @amiegeoffrey,@wongy, entre otras.

I confess that I have very little knowledge about African culture, but thanks to Hive I have had the opportunity to meet and make friends with several African women, specifically from Nigeria, and I admire how kind, talented and beautiful these women are. Such is the case of my fellow NeedleWorkMonday community members who every week share with us their talent and skills in sewing and crochet. Among them I can name @monica-ene, @bimpcy, @glorydee, @amiegeoffrey,@wongy, among others

Este estilo de arte el cual refleja la belleza y la forma de la mujer africana, siempre me ha llamado la atención. He visto pequeñas esculturas, artesanías, pinturas y piezas decorativas inspiradas en esta cultura que son realmente hermosas, por lo que me animé a intentar un sencillo dibujo para rellenar con líneas y mucho color.

This style of art, which reflects the beauty and form of the African woman, has always caught my attention. I have seen small sculptures, crafts, paintings and decorative pieces inspired by this culture that are really beautiful, so I decided to try a simple drawing to fill in with lines and lots of color.

Los colores alegres y vibrantes están muy presentes en la moda y vestuario tradicional africano, según lo que he podido conocer. Sus vestidos son siempre muy coloridos por eso decidí usar colores en tonos fuertes para mi dibujo. Utilice un patrón de líneas rectas y semi curvas para rellenar el turbante en la cabeza de esta mujer africana y me encantó como se ve esta combinación de colores.

The cheerful and vibrant colors are very present in traditional African fashion and costumes, according to what I have been able to learn. Their dresses are always very colorful that's why I decided to use colors in strong tones for my drawing. I used a pattern of straight lines and semi curves to fill in the turban on this African woman's head and I loved how this color combination looks.

Como ya les he comentado anteriormente, esta es una actividad que realizo para liberar un poco el estrés del trabajo cotidiano, no soy una artista del dibujo, pero sí una persona que admira el arte en todas sus expresiones. Puedo decir que disfruté mucho realizar este dibujo y me gustaría seguir haciendo otros del mismo estilo. Espero que a mis amigas les guste porque las estuve presente en mi mente mientras lo coloreaba. Fue un gusto saludarles, gracias por leer, saludos y bendiciones.

As I have told you before, this is an activity that I do to release some stress from my daily work, I am not a drawing artist, but I am a person who admires art in all its expressions. I can say that I really enjoyed doing this drawing and I would like to continue doing others in the same style. I hope my friends like it because they were present in my mind while I was coloring it. This is a masterpiece and doesn't even look like you are not a professional artist. I love the color combinations of the hair gear and every stroke of that pencil giving it a perfect representation of exactly how we tie our hair here.
I'm so happy to see you do this and even more excited that you picked an interest in our culture and lifestyle.
