Well, this is day 4 of HiveBloPoMo and I missed the first three. Well at least I won't feel the pressure to write something/anything each day. I would have participated, but I had gotten rather ill this past weekend. So much so that I didn't get up unless I had to. I'm doing very well right now and believe it was just something I ate and I have gotten rid of it.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you of the April Fools joke played on my husband. A woman in our church is a real jokester. She is in her 60s, has nine children, and you wouldn't expect this of her when you look at her. Her own children do not trust her, especially on April Fools Day.
The men at our church were having their regular first Saturday of the month prayer breakfast. For "some" reason, she sent filled doughnuts with her husband and son. I say "some" reason, because my husband and another man typically make the breakfast, which is a good one, if I might add.
Well, my husband can't pass down a nice filled doughnut, so he grabbed one and started eating it. As he was eating it, he noticed it didn't taste like he expected. He thought it was a lemon filling. At that time, he noticed this woman's son taking pictures of him eating this doughnut.
Come to find out, she filled it with mayonnaise! She didn't fill all of them with mayonnaise, so it was "luck of the draw" on who got the "mayonnaise doughnuts."
My husband took it in stride, and he was the focus of the jokes the next day at church.
