1st update since buying property.

Good day friends and fellow off-grid enthusiasts! I haven't posted an update for a while. We've been pretty busy out here on the property. We've accomplished a lot but also had to take a little over a month off to do some work in Spokane to pay for all this. Now we're back at it and ready to start building.

Moving in amongst the animals.

We've had a lot of things come up as we've been moving along that have kept me from posting and taking up a lot of my time. This property used to be a hunting property so there are lots of animals around including bears, cougars, moose, elk, dear, bobcat, cougar to name a few. We already had a bear come through the area we used to cook and have been storing a little trash and get into the trash bin. Been hauling out most of our trash daily or every other day but didn't that day and someone came through and made a mess. For that reason we decided we needed to start establishing a pack of dogs to protect the animals we will have out here. Meet Scout. He's now 15 weeks old and is a mixture of Husky, Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd.

Now we have access.

Part of the first month of owning this property was establishing access to it. There was only one road getting up to the top of the hill and the back of the property. We rented some equipment and used that to establish a new more accessible road. My son has cerebral palsy and has a hard time walking around especially as he is getting older. Our goal is to make this property extremely accessible for him and this is the start of that.

Check back again tomorrow for another update. I have an updated since we got the property and have a lot of pictures and things to show. So I'll be posting daily at least for a while. I also have pretty decent internet up at this property so I will be posting much more than I have over the past year.

Beautiful country. Good to see it's going to good people.

Thanks!

Yeah I feel we're pretty lucky to have it. We made a list of eight different properties and it was number one on that list. It was the most expensive of all of them but we were determined to not pay more than the lowest priced one on the list of eight. Our agent laughed at us when we told her the offer we wanted to make. But then by the next evening she sent an email telling us how wrong she was. We had a plan and stuck to it and now we have a very nice property with lots of big beautiful trees and a creek.

That's awesome.

Good to see the progress.
