I bought at the same time to that Black Sam silver another 1oz silver coin. It is from another European Mint that I have been watching but refrained from buying since in general the premiums are higher, especially for the ones minted in 2023 and below. The Germania Mint different from most of the mints that I showed doesn't mint many coins for other countries. I think they have a few examples for Malta and Niue but mostly recent minting. Different from what I thought this mint isn't located in Germany, but in Poland. Only recently in 2021, they started to mint intentionally to global collection.
For this reason, I guess it is interesting to start collecting some of their collections like their branded "Germania bullion". What brought me into the mint was their Valkyries collection. The Valkyries are warriors, women, who represented Odin in battles. They represent a great power in the Nordic Mythology. Interesting that just now I realized that for now, the three "Valkyries" from the Germania collection aren't on the list of Valkyries names (at least in Wikipedia). But what I saw is that still, these names are important for the Nordic mythologies. The coins also bring nice details of these women and some symbols associated to these figures
I bought the Solveig coin a while ago, and in the last month I could buy the other two Valkyries from the collection, I wanted to be fast. Solveig coin is the latest one minted in 2024. All Germania coins come already with a nice capsule, a bit different from a regular capsule since one end is a bit curved. The capsule looks a bit better quality compared to my TEMU ones. Also, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Of the three coins that I bought, only the most recent one bought from a private seller (The 2022 one, the first from the collection) didn't come with COA, it was lost somehow. Solveig and Ostara came with COA.
Solveig is a goddess daughter of Odin, it was difficult to find some information about her but she looks powerful with that axe. The only information that I found is somehow her name is associated with the Sun and she brings new beginnings after a cold winter, which represents spring and summer. We can notice the Sun in the background. Also, we notice a bear which the mint mentions as a companion of the goddess. I tried to google a bit to find any tales or explanations about Solveig and the bear but I couldn't find it. The only thing is that a person named Solveig adapted the tale "Three Bears" but I think there isn't any connection with that.
The obverse looks like a shield with the double-headed eagle, the mint symbol, and the goddess companion, the bear. The value of the coin is 5 Mark which is the old used currency before the Euro by Germany. That is another curious story that only the mint could answer. But this shiny silver is interesting and the 25,000 coins minted is still not bad to find around.
I bought so many coins that I am holding a bit myself for the last two weeks with no shopping at all, in addition to the three Germania coins, I will bring many other interesting stories and mythical coins.

É de outra Casa da Moeda Europeia que tenho observado, mas me abstive de comprar, pois em geral os prêmios são mais altos, especialmente para as cunhadas em 2023 e abaixo. A Casa da Moeda da Germânia, diferente da maioria das casas da moeda que mostrei, não cunha muitas moedas para outros países. Acho que eles têm alguns exemplos para Malta e Niue, mas principalmente cunhagens recentes. Diferente do que eu pensava, esta casa da moeda não está localizada na Alemanha, mas na Polônia. Apenas recentemente, em 2021, eles começaram a cunhar intencionalmente para coleção global.
Por esse motivo, acho que é interessante começar a colecionar algumas de suas coleções, como sua marca "Germania bullion". O que me trouxe para a casa da moeda foi sua coleção Valkyries. As Valkyries são guerreiras, mulheres, que representavam Odin em batalhas. Elas representam um grande poder na mitologia nórdica. Interessante que só agora percebi que, por enquanto, as três "Valquírias" da coleção Germania não estão na lista de nomes de Valquírias (pelo menos na Wikipédia). Mas o que vi é que, ainda assim, esses nomes são importantes para as mitologias nórdicas. As moedas também trazem detalhes legais dessas mulheres e alguns símbolos associados a essas figuras
Comprei a moeda Solveig há um tempo, e no último mês pude comprar as outras duas Valquírias da coleção, queria ser rápido. A moeda Solveig é a mais recente cunhada em 2024. Todas as moedas Germania já vêm com uma cápsula bonita, um pouco diferente de uma cápsula normal, já que uma das pontas é um pouco curvada. A cápsula parece ter uma qualidade um pouco melhor em comparação com as minhas TEMU. Além disso, vem com um Certificado de Autenticidade (COA). Das três moedas que comprei, apenas a mais recente comprada de um vendedor particular (a de 2022, a primeira da coleção) não veio com COA, ela foi perdida de alguma forma. Solveig e Ostara vieram com COA.
Solveig é uma deusa filha de Odin, foi difícil encontrar alguma informação sobre ela, mas ela parece poderosa com aquele machado. A única informação que encontrei é que de alguma forma o nome dela está associado ao Sol e ela traz novos começos após um inverno frio, que representa a primavera e o verão. Podemos notar o Sol ao fundo. Também notamos um urso que a casa da moeda menciona como um companheiro da deusa. Tentei pesquisar um pouco no Google para encontrar contos ou explicações sobre Solveig e o urso, mas não consegui encontrar. A única coisa é que uma pessoa chamada Solveig adaptou o conto "Três Ursos", mas acho que não há nenhuma conexão com isso.
O anverso parece um escudo com a águia de duas cabeças, o símbolo da casa da moeda, e o companheiro da deusa, o urso. O valor da moeda é 5 marcos, que é a antiga moeda usada antes do Euro pela Alemanha. Essa é outra história curiosa que somente a casa da moeda poderia responder. Mas essa prata brilhante é interessante e as 25.000 moedas cunhadas ainda não são ruins de se encontrar por aí.
Comprei tantas moedas que estou segurando um pouco nas últimas duas semanas sem fazer compras, além das três moedas da Germânia, trarei muitas outras histórias interessantes e moedas míticas.
