Another week has passed and one more time I want to share a piece from my silver coins collection. This time it's about a comic figure which everyone knows - the Spiderman!
Introduction:
A true cultural icon, Spider-Man has been one of Marvel Comics' most popular superheroes since his first appearance in 1962. As a tribute to this beloved character, the Perth Mint, in collaboration with Tuvalu, released a commemorative silver coin in 2017.
Release and mintage:
The 1 oz Silver Spiderman Tuvalu Dollar Coin was issued on June 26, 2017, marking the first release in the Perth Mint's Marvel coin series. The coin boasts a restricted mintage of only 50,000 pieces worldwide, making it a coveted collectible for both fans of Spider-Man and numismatists.
Coin specifications:
The coin is struck in .9999 pure silver with a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) and a diameter of 40.6 mm. It features a brilliant uncirculated finish, which showcases the design's intricate details and enhances the coin's visual appeal.
Obverse design:
On the obverse side, the coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The inscriptions "QUEEN ELIZABETH II," "1 oz 9999 Ag," "2017," and "TUVALU 1 DOLLAR" are also displayed on this side, denoting the coin's weight, purity, issuing year, and face value.

Investment potential:
At the time of release in 2017, the 1 oz Silver Spiderman Tuvalu Dollar Coin was priced at approximately $30 USD and that was the price of my purchase. Currently, it is pretty impossible to find this specific coin available on the internet stores or auctions. The only one which I found was listed for $265 USD which gives awesome ROI of almost 884%!

The 1 oz Silver Spiderman Tuvalu Dollar Coin is a stunning tribute to one of the most beloved superheroes in the Marvel universe. Because Spiderman together with Wovlerine and Venom are my favorite Marvel characters, I am very proud of having this coin in my collection.
