Since I am visiting Mexico briefly, I thought I'd show a silver round that features the eagle warrior.
Eagle warriors are a representation of the Aztec culture, and therefore the Mexican tradition. Some use the eagle warrior as a symbol that denotes strength, aggressiveness, competitiveness, and remembrance of the ancient cultures of Mexico.
The silver round's obverse shows a magnificent image of an Eagle Warrior. An Eagle Warrior is a highly renowned character in the Aztec military.
The warrior wears an eagle headdress with gorgeous feathers and carries a poised spear, signifying the dragon's boldness and might.
The bravest of noble birth and those who had captured the most prisoners in combat comprised these military orders. They were the most dreaded warriors among the Aztecs.
The reverse features the Aztec Sun Stone and shows the five sun worlds from Aztec mythology.
The Aztec Sun Stone, also known as the Calendar Stone, is an artistically carved solar disk that portrays the five sequential realms of the sun from Aztec mythology . It is not a practical calendar, but rather a symbol of rulership for the Aztecs and other Mesoamerican societies. The stone is a complicated symbol of Aztec civilization and shows the sun god, Tonatiuh, and relates the story of the universe' birth. It also prophesies the end of the world through earthquakes, echoing Aztec beliefs about the cyclical nature of time.
I will show these different rounds in the future! So far I have 3 and there is a fourth one, the Aztec God of Death.
