Among the most successful pirates in history was Sir Francis Drake. He was the Elizabethan era's most well-known English admiral.
The mission of leading an expedition to circumnavigate South America and investigate the coast beyond was given to Sir Francis Drake in 1577. Drakes and his crew seized the chance to travel the coast of South America, plundering and looting as they went. With its heavy load of gold and silver bars, Spanish coins, valuable stones, and pearls, his renowned flagship, The Golden Hind, rode low in the water.
Drake proceeded into the Indian and Pacific oceans. Then he circled the tip of Africa back south. Every morning and evening, he would go to a religious service and eat dinner while listening to music. This is how day after day would go for over three years. Francis Drake became the first English captain to circumnavigate the globe when he brought his ship into Plymouth Harbor in 1580. You will find the tale of Sir Francis Drakes to be intriguing overall.
