Happy Wednesday everyone! Bitcoin is finally making another push above the $100K mark, hopefully this will become the new support line this time around. I think this bull run is far from finished, and Hive has clawed its way back up to just about $0.33 from the low of $0.29. Of course when those dips happen I'm always off line, so I missed taking advantage of buying some more Hive at a lower price. But I can't complain, I bought plenty when it was under $0.20.
Today I'm going to continue on with the Silver Gold Stackers Twelve Days of Christmas challenge to share twelve items you might like to receive from your secret Santa. I'll take under the tree as well, as long as Santa is kind! Thanks to @silverd510 for starting up this initiative. I've finally made it to day eleven, so only two more items to share off of the wish list. Today I'm going back to Mexico...
The Mexican Mint is known as the Casa de Moneda de MΓ©xico, and is the oldest mint in the Americas, established in 1535. They have changed building since that time but have a long history of producing beautiful silver and gold coins. In 1981 they started to produce gold bullion rounds known as the Libertads. In 1982 they started to produce a silver version as well. The reason they are called rounds and not coins is because they don't have a value denomination on them. If it stated 100 Pesos somewhere on the silver or gold then it would be a coin. But they are a great way to invest in silver and gold!
In 2015 they began to produce reverse proof versions of the Libertad. In essence that means that the field (background in layman's terms) is frosty looking in appearance and the design elements appear shiny and reflective like a mirror. A regular proof is just the opposite, the filed is mirror like and the design frosty in appearance. I've always wanted to add one of these reverse proof Libertads to my collection and that's why it my day eleven pick.

About the round:

Isn't that some beautiful silver? This one in particular is from 2017 and graded by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) as a perfect example of this round, grade PR70. The PR stands for proof and the 70 refers to a grading scale of 1 to 70, seventy being perfect. I would love to have any year of the reverse proof graded or ungraded. These are expensive items and hard to find for less than $300.
I find it kind of funny now, when I look back about ten years ago I was working in Arizona. I used to be able to pick up Libertad after Libertad for spot silver price in several places. Now days they have become a much more expensive item to purchase. I know here in California it's hard to find them without at least a five to ten dollar premium most anyplace I look. I really should have bought a lot more of these back in Arizona! As they say, hind sight is 20/20...
This will wrap up day eleven on my Christmas wish list. Mexican silver and gold are always a great thing to buy whenever you can find a good price. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I hope you enjoyed this reverse proof beauty. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below and as always thank you so much for all your support. It's deeply appreciated! Have a great day everyone!
