Hello, hivers!
I think this is my first post in this community, although it's not my first firearms related post. It has been a while since I've posted any firearms related content, but I recently found some videos that I had made a few years ago and had not put on youtube. I had them on the old Dtube platform, but they're long gone from there. I just uploaded the video to youtube a few days ago.
This is a video that I made about shooting my antique Argentine military contract Remington rolling block rifle, chambered in the 43 Spanish cartridge. In the video, I was using antique black powder ammunition that was made by Remington in the early 1900s. One box of ammo was made probably between 1900 and 1910, and the other box was made about 1920 or so. The older ammo did not fire, the primers were dead. The 1920 ammo did fire, so we got to shoot the rifle with original ammo.
I have 30 new made 43 Spanish cartridge cases for reloading for this old rifle. I'll probably write about that once I finally get around to doing the reloading. I'm also trying to figure out how to convert the original cartridges from Berdan primers to modern Boxer primers, but that may prove more difficult than I anticipated, because the cartridges are the old balloon head type cartridges that were used for black powder. I wrote another post recently with a video about starting the process of conversion. That post is here.

Here's the video about shooting the rolling block, it's about 10 minutes long.
Thanks for watching the video, I hope you found it entertaining.
