Abanijorin (The Hill with seven Caves)

in #hive-1393582 years ago

Hello Hivians hope you all are having a lovely day?

I’ve been a follower of Outdoors and more community by this is my first time posting here.

There’s a certain happiness that comes with touring and exploring new places and that happiness was what I found when I and my friends hiked Abanijorin hill/ cave located in Ekiti state Nigeria (West Africa).

I’m a lover of hiking and climbing rocks/ hills but visiting a cave? Uhmm it’s always been scary with the fear that the cave might close and we might get trapped inside Lol, but I got rid of that fear after I visited Abanijorin hill/ cave, it is a hill with seven caves inside.

It doesn’t have a straight road leading to the top, at some point we found ourselves in a cave and other times we found ourselves hiking/ climbing rocks before getting to another cave.

It was fun and also exercising, the most intriguing part was when we got to a cave that has the view of a cinema/ lecture hall with pebbles disguised as seats and can conveniently accommodate over 500 people, we were able to rest in that certain cave for a while and had refreshments before proceeding our journey to the top of the hill.

If my calculation is correct, it took us about an hour and few minutes to get to the top of the hill. When we got to the top of the hill it was so cozy and we could here the wind blowing so much, the view was awesome as we could see half of the State capital and the wonderful landmarks.

We chilled at the top of the hill for hours playing certain games, there was music too because we took a mini music box along, we had refreshment and rested for a while before proceeding down.

Nobody told me coming down would be more scary than climbing up. The rocks were slant and one could barely walk slowly because of the sloppy rocks one ran down but with cation because it was dangerous and scary, one could easily fall off the cliff. The fun fact was coming down didn’t take us up to thirty minutes unlike hiking up that took more than an hour.

It was an amazing and memorable experience but I wouldn’t do that again because of the fear at different point of the journey but I didn’t regret going… thanks for reading
