Here we go!
I did have a crossbow ordered, and it did arrive, but the quality was terrible so I returned it and the money I used to get batteries and a charger that can be charged vis USB so I could charge the batterys with my fold out solar panel
I got it in Norway, must have been 4 years ago already and I remember it costing 500 NOK which is like 50 usd. I know its 5V but I really cant remember the wattage. I will try search for it online actually right now so I know.
Its 20W - I just found a review on YouTube
I do recommend these Linocell panels. They are made in Sweden and seem to be only in one brand of shop. Anyway, really cool panel. Concidering México its 110v so things charge way slower than Europe, the solar panel is just as fast, if not faster!
AA Batterys and the charger
The trail camera uses 8 AA batterys, its seems the standard for now until more modern trail cameras are on the market for the public.
There are these on the market which apparently work well too!
Steren
I havent heard of this brand but I guess its the common one for American countries. Atleast they are NiMH which means better lasting.
Cant just buy recargables and have nothing to charge them with!
The charger arrived at the same time, and its looking like its very good quality. I was fooled a bit as its for 4 batterys at once, when I was under the impression it took 8.
Plugged into my solar charger it seems to only charge 2 at a time though, but maybe as they are new batterys its not needed.
To my surprise when I put 4 of them in the camera, it turned on and seemed to want to work. I set the date and time and at first thought it was onñy going to take photos but then I found it has video too.
... With photo capture, video or both!
Well sadly I dont have any mini SD cards to put in the camera
So when I got one be ready to check out the reults from it!
