Dear friends,
Last weekend my wife, my son and I drove to the village of Yasen/Pleven region, Bulgaria/ where we have an old country house with a garden because we like to grow and consume our own food.

I picked some big juicy red tomatoes from our garden

and a few green peppers and a cucumber for our salad.

And then it was time for my favourite – the barbeque. The real thing. No electricity, no packed coal, just real live fire and smoke.
I had to prepare the grill first.

I always use live fire and smoke to cook the food so I built a fire

My little nephew wanted to help me

Then it was time to put the sausages on the grill

My lovely niece was interested too. That smell, you know....

I had to be very carefull not to burn the sausages
