Updates on Hive Distrion App
Backups & Restoration
- In order to not to loose any important data, even before you go further, it's important to have back-up & restoration mechanisms in place.
- This is what I did today. I wrote script to import super-admins, admins, guides & business owners.
- I'm yet to write similar script for businesses, campaigns, reviews.
- As you can see in the screenshot above, we've exports from mongo-db as a JSON file.
- I've tested importing & it works well.
APIs to manage businesses
- I've added 2 functions in business repository. Get all businesses & Add a business.
- Get all is used by
businesses/API. And this API, based on type of the user, filter outs the details of the businesses. - E.g. Super-Admins, Admins can view all businesses.
- Guides can view all businesses which are assigned to them.
- Business owners can view all businesses which are owned by them.
- Users can view all public information of all businesses.
- I'm yet testing this API locally & not yet fully done.
- Once done, I'll deploy it & start working on front-end.
What's next?
- Add more business APIs
- Update Address
- Update Contact details - phone, email, notes
- Update social media links like facebook, instagram, twitter etc.
- Update Business Guides
- Fix the Claim % issue (it goes as high as 60%)
Hive Power up Gift Report
- I support several contests hosted by different communities.
- I reward them with Hive-Power-up for the contribution that they have made on communities on Hive.
- We keep transferring portion of hive power to different users on Hive for encouraging them for their contribution on Hive.

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-05-26, 3Speak published total 90 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 68 videos from 90 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 75.56 % of total videos published on 2024-05-26
