Project - Distriator
Distriator BackEnd - User Management APIs
- @starkerz suggested that, we should be in position to ban a user if at all user is misusing the app.
- So far, we have APIs to manage Admins, Guides & Business Owners.
- However, we didn't have the APIs for managing users.
- Today, we took care of developing & deploying these APIs
- After testing, we pushed the changes on production.
- We have so far 70 active users.
- Super Admins & Admins can ban & unban users.
- We also have added webhooks for the same.
- So, whenever & whichever admin bans/unbans a user, it shows up as a log in the discord.

Building UX for managing trusted business guides
- While we work on backend for necessary APIs for business management, we started off with the front-end work.
- On Business Details page, we've built user-experience for setting up the trusted business guides
- Here user can set up the commission percentage for each trusted guide of a business.

Add A Trusted Business Guide
- In case, a trusted guide is missing, guide can be added by clicking plus button.
- Here is the popup which user get, for adding a business guide.
Bug Fixes
- User @grawitacja made a payment & claimed with Distriator
- During last deployment, due to a small typo, a logical error (comparision operator) was introduced (
!==instead of===) - Due to this, app didn't calculate the commissions for trusted guides.
- I'm glad that we found this at early stage.
- I fixed the issue & pushed it to production.
- On Any new claims, if a business has guides, they'll get commission.
- For this missed transaction, we are yet to roll out comission for trusted guides.
What's Next?
- Complete UX for managing users
- Complete Add-A-Business API
- Migrate existing excel-sheet-based-businesses to database using add-a-business-api
- Once migration is done, we'll integrate update-a-business-API
- Add support for setting percentage for each-trusted-business-guide on a business

- I support several contests hosted by different communities.
- I reward them with Hive-Power-up for the contribution that they have made on communities on Hive.
- We keep transferring portion of hive power to different users on Hive for encouraging them for their contribution on Hive.
- Those who respond to our replies, we also reward them with different tokens like PIZZA, BEER, LUV
- In last 24 hours, we sent power ups to these people on hive - @golden.future, @chaosmagic23, @mysteriousroad, @eolianpariah2, @dzaky12

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-06-25, 3Speak published total 135 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 108 videos from 135 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 80.00 % of total videos published on 2024-06-25
