Updates on Project "Hive Inbox"
Image Upload Improvement - Upload experience
- We were facing some issues in image upload.
- Finally, we were able to find the root cause of the issue (session time out)
- We've implemented better image upload with improvements
- With this, we'll have a better experience in image uploads instead of failures
Image Upload Improvement - Editing experience
- App will also insert the text in the comment editor & with this user will get an idea where the images is going to be shown.
- User can keep the cursor where the image should be and select an image to upload, the image will be added to the comment field where the cursor was.
Image Upload Improvement - Remove Image attachment
- You don't have to select text & remove manually when you want to remove the attachment.
- On clicking cancel the image and image text will be removed from commentfield
Hive RPCs updated
- We did a mistake. We added all RPCs which we found from dApps.
- Many Hive RPC nodes are not working as expected.
- Using peakd.com's benchmark, we identified the working RPC nodes.
- We picked few RPC nodes & applied it to Hive Inbox App
- This change is only applicable to those who log-in with private-posting-key.
- Those who have logged in with HiveSigner / HiveKeychain / HiveAuth, they don't have to worry about any Hive-RPC changes.
Updates on Project "HiFind / Hive Hound"
- Today, we got little time to work on HiFind but we utilised that time to implement dark mode.
- For now, we've added a switch on top-right corner
- With that, user can switch the theme of the app.
- We are also working on log-in, post-details, upvote-comment features but not yet ready to be shipped.
- So, today we only shipped dark-mode related changes.
Why Hive-Hound?
- Hound = A dog of a breed used for hunting.
- Hive Hound = A tool used for hunting right post for curation 🤣. It's tool for curators.
