There is such a thing as rural mentality which can be understood only when you settle in a village or you have just started to settle there, having bought a plot of land for construction.
You know some statements about the village may turn out to be dogma but as far as the rural mentality in some countries and in my homeland is concerned as life shows this is the pure truth.
When they talk about rural mentality they mean that in the near future someone will try to climb on your shoulders hang their legs and tightly clasp your neck lol.
It may seem like an exaggeration but no I have encountered this.
Of course, there are a lot of decent people in the village but as they say one fly in the ointment can spoil a whole barrel of honey, but, although I encountered this I have a recipe against it similar to the remedy against Colorado beetles you just need to be a goose from which water quickly flows and arm yourself with the proverb: where you sit down there you will get off.
Probably the nature of some rural impudence is that they are used to milking cows sheep and goats in the saddle and everything that these people see is viewed through a prism milking machine lol.
For example when I dug a pit for the foundation and basement of a house in my yard there was a huge mountain of first-class clay which the builders whom I hired in the same village offered to remove for free lol.
They hoped that I didn't know the price of clay or that I would need clay for compacting the foundations for pouring concrete floors at home and decided to look for a sucker in me.
Yes, I shared some of the clay but in exchange for part of the salary for the work done I think I was overly generous with them.
Eyes everywhere when my basement was ready and I installed steel doors I moved some of the things from my apartment to the basement in the evening.
Among these things were three children's or teenage bicycles of my children.
A few days later a neighbor from the street came to me and asked me for one of the three bicycles saying that he needed to get to the neighboring village and he did not want to spend money on travel.
When I said that these were children's bicycles he asked me not to worry about the fact that it would be difficult for him to ride a small bicycle to which I pointed him in the right direction.
Other neighbors decided to take a shortcut and started to cross the corner of my land plot saying that this was the road before I bought the land plot to which I said that I would install a reinforced concrete pole on the corner that would cut off the sides of their cars on a sharp turn and driving stopped.
I don’t know maybe it’s a special kind of parasite that lives in their heads but there must be some kind of nature to the complete lack of tact and understanding of what can and cannot be done.
Such parasitism due to ignorance is difficult to recognize in the early stages of life in the village just as without knowing one can decide that berries the size of cherry plums have formed on the oak leaves.
I often saw such balls on the leaves. but I forgot to find out what they were.
It turned out that these balls bear the name of the nationality of Asterix and Obelix they are called gaals.
The strange substance is both protection food and waste products of the larvae of an insect called Cynips quercusfolii.
Most often these larvae parasitize on oak leaves, apparently there is something in the leaves that is similar to people who decided to settle in the village having moved from the city lol.
Oh, and lest I forget @bradleyarrow, the creator of the BBH coin would be happy to see our votes "for" the witness @thebbhproject, I cast my vote.
