So I got a bunch that I could write about in relation to 3d printing, I could even break these posts down but I will condense them a little instead.
What you see above is my oldest printer I recently wrote about brining it back to life, it was doing good for a while then I started to have issues again I was able to get it sorted but as you may notice if you seen the post something looks different with it, the control box is nowhere in sight and now the spool holder is on top of the printer instead of the control box.
Well with me recently starting to use my SLA resin 3d printed I needed to shift things around because it has a lid and I would not be able to take it off while it's under my hanging shelf that holds yet another printer.
The issue is that with the prusa (the orange printer below) it's a really tight squeeze to load and unload filament with the spool holder being on top of the printer, so I took of the mostly metal spool holder from my old printer and screwed it under my DIY printer bearing shelf.
This works great but leaves my old printer without a spool holder.
But that is not a problem I printed a spool holder for it as you can see in the picture above.
Now what about the control box for the old printer, well I mounted it on the bottom of the table, I found some models for a a mounting system however it was wonky so I quickly designed my own and printed it out and screwed it in, now I have more real-estate on my table
Here is a a close up of the new 3d printed spool holder it seems to do the trick however there is room for improvement.
I am also printing this guide/spool holder system it will take the place of the current spool holder with it moving away to the other side I will also print some extra pieces for it so together they will be able to hold 4 rolls of filament even though this printer can only print with one at a time, it would be a nice storage system for some rolls.
Currently 4 out of the 6 printers (not counting the resin printer that is working) are in working condition, the other 2 need some work I am sure I will get them sorted eventually, I also got another attachment for my latest printer for 8 material printing however that can of worms will be talked about in another post, I am a little disappointed but there is still hope.
